Buffalonian-at-Heart Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 You guys will probably never forgive me for this. I am in my mid 30's and have been a Buffalo Bills fan since I was born. Today I was driving with a Cowboy's fan, when he asked me "What is a Bill"? I am embarrassed to say, I didn't know. I think it is another name for a Buffalo/Bison. Am I correct, and can anyone send some links, to show how our name originated or proof of what a Bill is? I can't find anything. Also would be interested to know how many of you other fan's didn't know.

Endzone Animal Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 "Bill" refers to the bill located on the jaw of the male Buffalo, similar to a duck bill, and is used to attract females as part of the mating ritual.
uticaclub Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Buffalo Bill was frontiersmen, and football in western new york in the 1960s was a new frontier, it's in the media guide

In honor of our coach why don't we just change our logo to a Phallus then ... will stay true to this theme.
Dan Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I thought the "Bills" referred to all the bills Ralph pays or doesn't. Hence, the power being shut off this season.
