zow2 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Just watched the DVR replay about 5 times. FUnny to see RObert Royal berating Preston as they get back to the line of scrimmage and the play clock shows 0:00.
2003 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Ben Roethlisberger had to be taken out on a stretcher today. He gave a thumbs up... whew. I wish you well, Ben. What is he even doing in the game?
Golden Wheels Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Refs are saying Duke Preston being involved in the scrum is the reason why they didn't stop the clock. Dierdorf calls Preston a "dumb dumb". LOL
TheChimp Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I agree, instead of peeling off and lining up to kick immediately (and maybe ctahcing NE with too many men on the field)...our idiots players get suckered into a scuffle. NE has to be laughing in the locker room. This is all on the Bills coaches and players. It's 50/50 whether the refs would have immediately stopped the clock if the same play happened in the middle of the field. It's weird though. In most games the refs would have huddled up and made a decision. This guy just waved everyone off probably penalizing the Bills for Stupidity. BTW- I'm watching Roethlisberger immobile on the field getting his facemask and helmet removed with a screwdriver. Dude that thumbs-up took FOREVER no? WHEW!!!
YOOOOOO Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 The ball was out before Evans made his break. Look at it again....Evans was coming out of his break as Edwards attempts his throw and that ball has to come out before he comes out of his break anyways
Lurker Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 They were all grab assing... Normally they stop the clock (for at least a moment). No reason to stop the clock when Preston's doing the dancing bear routine 5 yards past the LOS with no timeouts. I'm sure Ralph had a good look at that fustercluk from his box.
zow2 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 NE gets the wind in the 4th. I tell you, the Bills better call at least two of their TO's in the 3rd Qtr.
RayFinkle Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 But Edwards had plenty of time to hold that ball for maybe two more seconds to hit Evans. Face it. Trent is a dud at passes more than 5 yards. There was a guy trailing Evans and a guy underneath....Trent made the right call, especially given the conditions.
Erik Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Good start there...we need at least two scores this quarter.
2003 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Chris Kelsay misses another tackle again.... Thank you Kyle Williams!
colin Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 my bad, i didn't notice our c ffing up that play for us. note kyle williams with a stop at the line and then a sack!! our d line aint' that bad
who-that-girl Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 The BILLS is a team where players come to die....
timba Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 NE gets the wind in the 4th. I tell you, the Bills better call at least two of their TO's in the 3rd Qtr. lol ask and you shall receive
Erik Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Good start there...we need at least two scores this quarter. I guess I'll take that back...
zow2 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Love how Cassel was trying to sell a late hit on the end of that sack? Stroud did give him a nice shot though. TO on a punt. CLassic NE outcoaches us again!
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 The official word is: "Since Duke Preston got suckered into a scrum, we won't give BFLO the benefit of the doubt and stop the clock." When has BFLO ever been given the benny of doubt against the Pats*?
Golden Wheels Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Another wasted time out because of too many players on the field. This game is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with this team and the coaching staff.
Alaska Darin Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 There was a guy trailing Evans and a guy underneath....Trent made the right call, especially given the conditions. I agree. He'd have had to loft the ball in there, which wouldn't be a problem in normal conditions.
