stuckincincy Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Tough luck...good for him that he signed a franchise tag, albeit for 1 year, this season. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7408 Poor B'gals - Andrews will be their 24th player put on IR, and after having to start 2 rookies in the OL for the past 5 games, they will have a former NO and CIN PS player at RT in the lineup @KC. With LT Levi Jones' chronic injuries and many missed games the past two years, and LG Andrew Whitworth gone for weeks with a high ankle sprain, I suspect most draftniks will pencil in CIN for an OL pick.

That is why I never begrudge a guy who will play for the tag. Yes, he made $7.5 this year, but I amguessing at a minimum he would have signed a deal the guaranteed at least $20M(including 1st and 2nd year salaries). Thats a lot of cash to gie up in this game
