It seems like you feel the little changes on Alt Nation, such as mixing in Pendulum, will be enough. Apparently you people don't understand music. Following Pendulum - Propane Nightmares on Alt Nation this afternoon was Blink 182. Let me repeat that, because you obviously don't understand the contrast. Pendulum versus Blink 182. How in the world are these two songs on the same channel? You people continue to prove you have no idea what you are doing with the type of music that was on Boombox. You are trying to integrate it into a channel where it makes absolutely no sense to. Thanks to great radio stations like www.unitedbreaks.fm that aren't filled with the redundant garbage that Sirius is, I'm getting ready to drop my subscription. I'd stay around if Boombox was brought back, but you guys don't give a damn about that type of music. I've got to hand it to you, you guys managed to completely ruin Area 38 and Boombox all in one sweep, and now you are ruining other channels trying to fix it. Quite an accomplishment, I must say.

I agree, I have XM and I miss channel 47 being ethel. The alt nation station combines other stations that I would rather listen to individually. I tried to be open to the changes, but they didn't just consolidate like services, they made changes that adversely affect the listening experience. They should know, their service is a total indulgence and they can't afford to lose listeners with all the struggles they are having trying to make sat radio profitable.

The Poojer Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 out of curiosity why do you think he ruined radio? i know nothing about him except what i hear while listening to HS on sirus, and was listening today to the best of HS and they were talking about how MK stood behind HS and his battles with the FCC in the early 90's. that sounded pretty solid in an attempt to not ruin radio, but again, I have absolutely no additional knowledge of him and his workings Mel Karmizan ruined radio. I don't listen to that station normally, I have no idea how bad it is. Pendulum is a Drum n Bass group that doesn't belong on an Alternative Channel.
Fezmid Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I just cancelled my XM subscription a couple of weeks ago. Not worth the money anymore. And then XM refused to allow me to cancel online and tried forcing me to call them. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, I gave up, sent them another email, and when they again told me I had to call to cancel, I disputed the charge on my credit card and Chase reversed the charges for me. Done. Sirius/XM is struggling and they're not helping themselves at all.

Still losing lots o money I think With a merger, you keep the differences and remove the channels that were similar between the two. You don't change the entire format of various channels.
