Chuckknox
1. Pass to Jackson down the sideline was a great call and executed perfectly. 2. Offense seemed to have a sense of purpose, kept defense off balance. 3. This team played very good and will be fine next year with a few additions. 4. We have a lot of very talented DB's. 5. DJ gets credit for keeping his team focused and moving forward despite some bad breaks this year. 6. A very young team that will get better and be a force soon. I kept thinking: THIS is the Turk we saw early in the year. Where has this play calling been? I guess when they execute, the play calling looks a lot better. And I agree: With a reasonable pass rush, we w/b a pretty good team. Also, Trent got his mojo back today too, despite getting creamed early and often. I still think the kid has got what it takes.... This is nearly word for word what was said after Buffalo finished 2007. 2) The offense played against statistically one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Denver has allowed 396 points in 15 games this season. 3) Many fans assumed with the addition of Stroud, Sp. Johnson, and Mitchell that the defense would be better. So far, they're pedestrian and allowing 22 ppg. With the anemic offense, that's not good enough. 4) We should have a lot of talented DB's. DJ inherited Greer and McGee. He used first round picks on a S and CB. They spent another third, fourth, sixth, and seventh on DB's. By now, I'd expect it, but of course, not having a pass rush makes this a moot point. 5) DJ has blundered his way into losing crucial games, most notably 2 MNF games in 2 seasons, and numerous others which will keep this team out of the playoffs for the ninth straight campaign. He has been outcoached by veteran and rookie HC's. He has been outcoached by bad coaches and good coaches. 6) We've been young for three seasons. It's up for debate whether this team will ever transition into a team capable of winning consistently. If you're satisfied with this team, you enjoy mediocrity. When Bills fans wake up from the numbness that is yearly losing, they'll realize this entire season was a blown chance to make the playoffs. Imagine how our pass defense would be if we had a decent pass rush?
jad1
Two things about this game. First, the offensive gameplan was built around the running game. Why this hasn't been the case every game this season is mind-boggling. How many touches did Fred Jackson get against Miami in Toronto? Second, the way that the DBs fought today you have to wonder if they would be better in a man-to-man pressure defense. Playing man-to-man would enable the Bills to blitz on just about every play, improving their pass rush. You have to wonder how this team would perform under a more experienced and aggressive coaching staff.

The Big Cat
So the fact that The Bills are now 7-0 when Reed and Edwards BOTH play the whole game doesn't factor into our ability to execute these so-called "crappy game plans?"

PNW_Bills_Fan
Hmm...Kinda like the first 4 games? Against mediocre Ds? C HMMMM playoff caliber team with an offense that scores. Make all the jokes you want we beat a above 500 team that is fighting for the playoffs. I still think most of at the beginning of the year would have said we are a year away and it turns out we are a year away. All the nay sayers can go rout for the Pats. We are building this team right. It is taking time, but we will be in the playoffs very soon.
