Yeah, but winning AP writing awards is right up there with the Pro Bowl selection process, Lori. You're a better writer than Sullivan, at this stage of his career.

My ego wishes I could agree ... but if you ever run across a copy of his takeout on Sean Galliher, give it a read.

Why do I feel like Russ Brandon came up with and wrote that?

be serious-

that tripe is far below what Brandon would publish

He really is good at spinning the company line - his campaign to destroy Jason Peters has been masterful

too bad his time with the Marlins did nothing to qualify him with any football expertise.

The 'once upon a time I was a good writer' bit doesn't cut it anymore, Lori.

The reason you're better than Sully is that you're passionate about what you do--as opposed to simply punching a clock and cynically banging out mediocre folderol while watching the second hand spin around....

if sullivan was really that bad, this thread would never ever make it to 6 pages. if he was that bad, you guys wouldn't even notice him.

and yes, lori's good too.

of course sullivan is an agitator, but i am convinced that 99% of the vitriol toward him results from the fact that he says things that a lot of buffalo fans don't want to hear. he's pissed me off plenty of times too...especially when i used to think gregg williams could be a good coach here. sullivan was on his ass almost from day 1 and it irritated the hell of out of me. of course he turned out to be right.

Quite the contrary- he tells many Bills fans EXACTLY what they want to hear

Hey, it sells papers...and that's all that matters at One News Plaza.

Really? You think people buy the News just to read Sully?

You almost hope that Wilson is senile, decrepit, or doddering. It would explain the moronic decisions he has made in running the Bills all these years. Unfortunately, Wilson has left his stamp on this team for the last 40 years; his incompetence pre-dates any mental decline he may be suffering. His entire stint as an owner in the NFL can be explained away with the "Blind Squirrel theory," finding the occasional "nut" (Saban, Knox, Polian), before losing his mind and running that "nut" out of town.

Now, the fact that Sullivan a complete tool shouldn't diminish that Wilson has been able to exploit the WNY area's love of football to make a mint while proving himself to be completely inept at performing the most basic functions of an NFL owner.

Bottom line, Wilson is among the worst owners in the NFL. He's nothing more than a egomanical clown. And the entire WNY region, a passionate, football-loving fanbase, has to put up with this clown, because, as we're constantly told by him, Buffalo is a "small-market" that doesn't even deserve a football team.

Wilson can go to hell. Buffalo has always deserved better than him. Imagine if the Bills had an owner like the Maras or the Rooneys. What if the passion of the fans was matched by the quality of product offered by the owner? What if the Bills had an owner that stood behind a HOF GM rather than a run-of-the-mill bean counter? How incredible would that be?

Instead, Buffalo is stuck with a certifiable ass-hat as an owner.

Yes - what he said....!!!!

I respectfully disagree with some of your post. Look at this from Ralph's perspective he is writing the checks that pay for this fiasco at some point it has to become so bad that it's funny. I also think he being tactful not airing out all of his negative thoughts during the season or when he is having a bad day. He knows the Bills problems cannot be solved by kiling Jauron in the media after a loss, after the season the issues will be addressed.

I don't think this is it either. Ralph was probably not laughing at the situation at all. He was probably laughing at Sullivan in a mocking way. This indeed proves Ralph is doddering. It is Sullivan who should be running the Bills after all.

Yep, given the repeated postings about the tool on TSW and elsewhere...

A little logical failure there, Lurk.

Sounds to me like people READ Sully (here or on the Internet). I have never heard anyone say they buy the News to read Sully.
