IDBillzFan Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Welcome to the joke that is pro-bowl "balloting." And along the OL, once you're selected, its a lifetime position. There was no greater joke than Vince Young making it.
The Senator Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Welcome to the joke that is pro-bowl "balloting." And along the OL, once you're selected, its a lifetime position. So FatBoy is kinda like Clarence Thomas - even though he sleeps through plays, he's got a lifetime appointment!
Fewell733 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Yep, Peters named starting tackle for the AFC. Interesting that Randy Moss didn't make it, but Welker did as a backup. Please. But how did Leon Washington make it as a kick returner? Leodis had him beat in yards AND average, and also had 1 TD (like Washington). because Washington returns punts and kickoffs. The probowl needs to fix the way it handles special teams.
VOR Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 because Washington returns punts and kickoffs. The probowl needs to fix the way it handles special teams. My mistake. I thought they had a separate category for punt returner.
BillsWatch Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Will he be handing out the programs? Or man security and watch people run by? Sure -fans of other teams. Opposing teams that is.
Thoner7 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 This will only hurt us when we try to sign him. Dang. What about Lynch, Ill say right now he is better than all three of the AFC running backs that made it. Lynch is a real probowler, as is Moorman. Take the fan crap out of this and let the coaches select it like an All-League award is supposed to be.
billybob Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Probowl maybe not but he still the best lineman on the Bills by a big margin- as for what he did this year I would had more respect for him if he had held out the full year- but he went the Russian way ( they pretend to pay me and I pretend to work)
throwbackbilly Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Take some pride in the selection. Peters had a tough start, but for the most part he flat-out manhandled his opponent. We've got a great left tackle, and the line is not nearly as good without him. If Edwards can get better...we have a REAL shot at the playoffs. Congrats to Jason!
merlin Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 well we know he didn't get in based on the fan votes... I don't know - the Jets fans probably love him ..... along with those of the teams in Miami, Cleveland, San Francisco .....
WellDressed Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I was just called by the President of the USGA and was asked if it would be OK if Tiger Woods caddied for me in next years club championship at my home course!!!

Yeah, I was particularly impressed with how the fat tub of goo 'manhandled' 200 lb. Abram Elam... This way to the QB
WellDressed Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 As Mr. Horse (from Ren & Stimpy) would say, "No Sir I don't like it"
DrDawkinstein Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 i was CONVINCED that it was opposing defensive players who voted Ruben Brown in year after year, just so they would be sure to see him starting again. same goes with Peters now
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I don't know why people overreact to the Pro Bowl selections every year, when everybody admits it's a crock of sh*t. Just don't pay attention to it. I know I don't.
WellDressed Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 How many sacks has walter jones given up as compared to peters??
The Senator Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I don't know why people overreact to the Pro Bowl selections every year, when everybody admits it's a crock of sh*t. Just don't pay attention to it. I know I don't. Problem is that PayMe Peters and his dickhead agent - Peckerhead Parker - will site the Pro Bowl selection as grounds for next season's inevitable holdout. OTOH, it probably does increase FatBoy's trade value.
cale Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Roos was so much the better player than Peters or Thomas. Thomas was decent. But still. And what about Jake Long? He's been great for the Fins. C
Jerry Jabber Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Great...he'll hold out again in the offseason.
