ieatcrayonz
Clean up the city boy has made the Glove wearing Mary look good by screwing up as the #2 QB. Especially this week, he was kind to Trent by blowing the game late. Had he held on to the ball he would have made Trent look bad since Trent blew the earlier game to the Jets in the 1st quarter. If we had won with JP, it would have exposed Trent as a talentless fraud. Now, that one play has made Trent look good. We really should be grateful to JP for giving us hope. The question now becomes, who is left in the NFL with the kind of loyalty JP has shown. Sure, JP is more masculine than Trent, but then again so is a doily. Or a dolly for that matter. At least JP tried to tone it down with his funny voice and his obvious lack of ability to grow a neat beard. This has distracted from the Los Gatos hair highlights and matching girlish gloves. Who can we get to replace JP? Hamdan won't do, he is too mannish. He might suck bad enough on the field, but that won't be enough. I can't think of anyone that would fill JP's role. Garcia: Girlish enough but not bad enough Orlovsky: Bad enough, but not too girly plus he's polish so the natives would like him Chris Sims: He's a maybe, and probably the best option but the whole bouncing back from a missing spleen thing hurts. I can't think of anyone and it wouldn't be fair to Trent to sign a QB and demote him. If you look at the draft value chart you realize that 09 will effectively be Trent's rookie season. How can you demote a guy before his first game? It isn't fair. The best option is to let JP walk but not replace him. This way Edwards is #1 and Hamdan is still #3. This way, there is no threat to Trent. When he gets hurt, he should only be replaced if he is out for multiple weeks. You know, if he catches a cold or has the sniffles. If he is only going to miss a week for maybe having a scary dream the night before or getting a paper cut, we should just run the wildcat that week. Can you think of any backup QBs that would work? marauderswr80
Simple....... If McNabb is on the market you make a move to grab him, send Trent to backup role.

We dont need a back up in 09 We need a starter one with durability an arm and the ability to play in the elements of nov/Dec. Bring in the competition it is not a gimme for trent. Trent will be entering his rookie year next year. Is it fair to bench a kid before his rookie year even begins?

Bring back JP and make him the starter. All he needs is more time to learn the offence. Treat him nicer and he is the next Brett Favre.
