Rubes Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 First off, the guy IS our third string QB. Granted, we all expect him to take the reigns soon, but personally I hope the guy never has to see the field this year anyway. Sure, this will take away from practice time (and preseason action time), but it's not the end of the world. Plus, how could this be a season-ending injury? Even if his ankle is broken in two places, it'll still heal in about two months, and he'll be back on the practice field in no time.

I agree with most that the likelihood of it truly affecting the bills is virtually zero.
Charlie68 Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 he will also miss reps in practice and the last two preseason games. Its not the end of the world, but it will certainly slow his development.

Rubes Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 See Vick, Michael. 6585 I'm not sure I see how the two are comparable.

Guest Guest Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 I'm not sure I see how the two are comparable. 6598 The report I saw said the injury was similar to the one Michael Vick had last year.

Cheeseburger_in_paradise Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 At best, were a potentailly 10-6 team. The refs will make us 9-7. Drew will get hurt and miss some games. We now have nobody to step in. We are now billsfanone.
kota Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Best case scenario is he is back by week 6. Worst case scenario he is back by week 8.
