Why Schonert is probably a dead man walking

Recent history suggests that Bills offensive coordinators who preside over botched late-game passing plays in situations that suggest a more conservative approach are forced to walk the plank. There appears to be a special place in Ralph Wilson's hell for such coordinators. The two that come most immediately to mind are Gilbride and Henning, both of whom were run out of town on a rail. Gilbride chose pass over run in numerous such situations, and Henning's call for a reverse pass involving Quinn Early during OT against Denver (1996) was publicly criticized by Wilson. Not long thereafter, he insisted that Marv fire Henning.

In other former Bills coach news, The Jags announced that they will not be retaining Gregg Williams next year.

...and Gilbride and Henning are still in the league, and not doing too badly.

Denver game was Andre Reed, in 1997, and I still haven't forgiven him for that call.

He should probably be fired for being the only guy to point fingers at everyone except himself. But whatever.
