O.J.'s conviction unlikely to affect HOF status

As it shouldn't. He is in the HOF and on the WOF (weither you like it or not) because of his play on the field when he played, not because of his life after football. You can't just take him off the wall, or out of the HOF and erase the memory of him from everyones mind. He will always be known as a Bill and always be known forwhat he did after his football career. The important thing to remember is that he is there cause he was an amazing football player.

 

Wasn't Thurman Thomas a drunk? Didn't Bruce Smith have a drug problem? Why do we promote alcholics and drug addicts on the wall? Where do you draw the line? Players get these accolades because of what they did on the field.

By the same logic...Pete Rose should be in the HOF as well
