For $1 million

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/ConductUnbec...1739&page=1

Chicago Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., is the anonymous "Senate Candidate No. 5" whose emissaries Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich reportedly offered up to $1 million to name him to the U.S. Senate, federal law enforcement sources tell ABC News

According to the FBI affidavit in the case, Blagojevich "stated he might be able to cut a deal with Senate Candidate 5 that provided Rod Blagojevich" with something "tangible up front."

There is no proof that ANY of the potential candidates were ever approached or anything solicited from them. This was stated by the attorney general's office.

My own suspicion is that this dirtball was thinking he'd put the screws to Candidate #5's daddy ... I don't think Senior has that kind of money, but he's probably capable of raising it. Would he? I don't know. I would imagine that ambitious as Senior is, he's learned a thing or two from his past mistakes and would be smart enough not to fall forit.

I'm sure we'll be hearing more. If the dirtball won't resign then I don't know that they can do much about his until he's convicted...maybe recall?

You seem more Eddie Haskil than Ward.

No doubt, Jim. Had you checked out the links, you'd know that is also true of Mr. Dobbs.
