That deferral was stupid. Jauron angered the football gods that day when he deferred after the team had scored 47 points the week before in KC. Nothing like icing your own QB. But "hey, the other teams are doing it!". Like your Momma always said if your friend jumped off a building, would you? The deferral rule helped to ruin our damn season thanks to our idiot coach. It was tailored made for an ultraconservative, play not to lose coach like Dick Jauron. It seems to be his one and only decision every gameday and he always gets that one decision wrong.
