C.Biscuit97
I was listening to the radio and heard a good idea. For 9 years in a league that is based on parity, we haven't made the playoffs. The players have all changed. The coaches have as well, but there is something to say about the quality of the coaches we have. I know they swept us, but does anyone really think Miami is a good team??? They just out coached us. So my question is would rather spend big bucks on a top coach (Cowher) or get a top free agent (Peppers i believe would be available and fill a major hole). What do you think? silvermike
Cowher or Peppers? No question about it. Cowher.
Dr. Fong
Top coach. Coaching can maximize results from even average talent. I feel like the Bills have talent on their team. Obviously they need more, but I also feel that more could be done with the team we already have.

Koufax
Cowher over Peppers in a heart beat. This team needs a great coach. I actually think our talent is heavily underrated by all of us right now. We are not getting a pass rush without Schobel and we need Hardy to grow into a good receiver (few generally have an impact at that position as a rookie, so there is more hope for him than for Roscoe) and we need a tight end and center, but I think overall the talent on our team is good, and an exceptional head coach is what we need most of all. Da Big Man
Top free agent for sure. An all star will play despite the weakness off a head coach, see Wade Philips, good players but he is still the son of a Bum.

Yeah maybe I'm delusional, but I think a good coaching staff is the missing ingredient at this point. Sure there are holes to fill in the roster, but that is always going to be the case. There's simply no excuse for this team not having shown progress this year.

silvermike
What bad coaches have won a Super Bowl? There are plenty of cases of coaches with exceptional talent going out in the first round. And adding one top free agent doesn't exactly give us exceptional talent at any other position.
lets_go_bills
We need a top-notch coaching staff for sure. Cowher would be a dream come true. As for Peppers? That's just a dream. Carolina will franchise him and that'll be the end of it.
ans4e64
Top free agent for sure. An all star will play despite the weakness off a head coach, see Wade Philips, good players but he is still the son of a Bum. See: the team we just played. -Joey Porter? Was outstanding in Pittsburgh when he had a great head coach. Went to the Dolphins who had a schitty coach and did absolutely nothing. Dolphins get a good coach and Porter is in the running for defensive MVP. -Chad Pennington? Sucked balls, was competing with some guy named Kellen Clemons for the starting gig and was losing, and eventually cut outright by the Jets. Goes to Miami and rips half the league apart. I could go on with every team in the league who has "all-stars" that can't do schit with a bad head coach.
stevewin
This team needs an identity/attitude overhaul - from somnambulant to some blue collar! I don't think I've ever had less respect for a Bills team - and like all long time Bills fans I've lived through absoltely horrible teams over the decades - but I think this is the worst I've ever felt. The absolute last straw was all the whining about the weather the last couple weeks by the players - WTF?!?!? I would honestly give my left nut for Cowher - give him the title of GM as well and total control. Maybe he could even lure LeBeau away as DC. Most important - I F'ing guarantee Cowher would at least bring an attitude where the fans could be proud of the toughness and effort of the players on the field - and I F'ing guarantee players wouldn't be bitching about cold weather under his regime - !@#$ing EMBRACE it. GDamn pussies! Don't think I've ever been more jealous of a team than watching the Steelers play this year - toughness and will - THAT's what Buffalo teams should be - that's what Buffalo fans DESERVE - I'm so sick of this sh--. Jealous is a great word. I was born and raised in WNY but lived in the NYC area from 92 through 04. Now I'm back in WNY. When I was there I got the sense of what 'class' was like in sports teams - the NY Giants oozed it. Even when they sucked, they had class and it started at the top. You KNEW they would be back. They were overachievers and got trounced a few years ago but last year showed that their commitment to winning, period, is what the organization is all about. PS my step dad and step brother are from Pittsburgh - ages 55 and 24 respectively. I am openly jealous of their successes. OH and I'm watching the Penguins rock the Sabres right now too. Simon
I would honestly give my left nut for Cowher - give him the title of GM as well and total control. Maybe he could even lure LeBeau away as DC. Cowher underachieved terribly with arguably the best talent in the league. Why do people think he'd suddenly turn into a good coach here when he was a chronic choke artist with far more talent than the Bills will ever have? And the only reason DickL ended up back in Pittsburgh is because Billyboy missed the playoffs 4 times in 6 years w/o Coach LeBeau (but with arguably the league's most talented roster) and the Rooney's then forced him to hire Dick LeBeau back. Of course Dick LeBeau then proceeded to win him a Super Bowl while Bill mugged for the cameras and proclaimed his own greatness as LeBeau worked his ass off to keep Cowher from continuing to make a complete ass of himself on Sundays like he had been for the last 15 years. The guy is a complete clown and when he comes back for a pile of money he'll likely be exposed for the self-important buffoon that he is. I just pray to god almighty that it's not anywhere near Western New York. Don't think I've ever been more jealous of a team than watching the Steelers play this year - toughness and will - THAT's what Buffalo teams should be Then let's go steal Mike Tomlin, who is already 10X the coach Cowher ever was.
