2009 Season Tickets?

Recommended Posts

It depends on how you look at it. To me, the Bills have delivered each and every Sunday as scheduled since the day I was born. Being young and nowhere near the town, I haven't been to enough games, but I completely understand why people want to go to the games regardless.

Things could be worse...as in B'gals fans having to sue for the right not to buy tickets... B-)

Unfortuately, yes it is, unless you want to see the Bills leaving WNY become a self-fulfilling prophesy.

And yes, I'll renew again.

This is the problem. you need to get over that. Let them leave. Are they worth the sunday headaches.

Unfortunatly Ralph has us by the balls. In almost any other NFL city, I show of disgust with a huge drop in ticket sales would work, however Ralph would just say the community didn't support the team or we couldnt afford tickets. As fans, we are damned if we do, damned if we dont. I like my seats and will try for a possible upgrade. <_<

gotta renew my seasons....as far as the Bills go, loyalty overrides intelligence. <_<

Am I to understand that you live in C'Ville (either Charlottesville or Centerville) VA and have season tickets? Thats impressive. If in Charlottesville you must have a 9 to 10 hour drive to the stadium? I live in Richmond and have driven to two games and the best time I could make it was just under 9:15.....

And for what it's worth, I am surprised at how relatively inexpensive tickets seem to be based on a couple of posts here - $400/seat or $250/seat - assume that includes pre-season? Hell, season's tickets to see my college alma mater (NC State) cost $4,000 for a license plus another $35/ticket in the nose bleed section, corner of the end zone....Redskin season seats must be over $600 or $700 bucks each but there is a multi-year waiting list. Do the Bills charge a Personal Seat License Fee or anything like that to get seasons tickets?

As several pointed out - going to the games is more than just the team (though it's much more pleasant to see a winner I admit)....

I haven't lived in WNY since 1979 but you don't realize how much you miss something until you don't have it....

Funny this post started. Just the other day I received a phone call from the Buffalo Bills ticket office and they wanted to know if I was happy with my seats and was there anything they could do to make my game day more pleasant. I jokingly told the girl they could start winning some games. She said I know as if she had heard a bunch of responses like mine only worse. I felt bad for her having to call irate season ticket holders and ask them are they happy with their game day experience.

Every time they give the in house announcement about informing security if anyone is disrupting your ability enjoy the game, I start naming several Bills coaches and players out loud, but security never looks into it.

Yes, those prices include pre-season. Granted though, those aren't 5th row from the field on the 50yd line tickets though. And the only seats requiring PSLs are in the Club areas.

That's a pretty good deal then...

This year, the Bills sold the 2nd most season tickets in team history. After the latest turn of events, how bad will ticket sales be for next year?

If Ralph doesn't hire a good head coach and we get some better players in here, I'm not going to take anymore time away from my family on Sundays and support this team. My 6 year old said it best "The Bills Stink!!!".

If there is a new coach in place I am cionsidering it as a way to help keep the Bills in WNY. If there is a drop in fan support it will be hard to argue that the team should remain there. If I buy them several will go to my brother. I may come up for a game and some will be sold assuming anyone would want them.

I'm in Charlottesville....Drive up on Friday, hit the casinos at Niagara Falls on Saturday and then the game on Sunday.

8.5 hours each way depending on traffic. I don't make every game tho. Can't say I'm cryin that I missed the SF game.

The worst thing about the longer drive to the Bills games is when they lose, the ride home seems to last forever....

That's devotion. Good for you.

I had season tickets from '88 - '94. Moved to Chicago after that. There were many times when I stood in the stadium during those years, looked around and thought - WOW. This is a special team and we are so lucky as fans to have a team like this. It was an amazing thrill, even with the Superbowl losses.

That's a big problem now. That team is a very tough act to follow even after 15 years. Ralph has a huge problem on his hands. I think this team has some competitive, exciting and extroverted personalities, but we're not seeing any of that. In a tough economy and with a continued bland team that doesn't win, I think season ticket sales will significantly drop.

Next year will be my 20th and I am on the fence right now, I grew up in the shadows of the Ralph (even played some volleyball with the infamous hammer!) So I have been going to games since '73 sneaking in as a kid, cleaning up the stadium after, just to get in for the game etc. Right now I am having a hard time justifying the expense and time commitment to watch this exercise in futility. The game day experience is what keeps me coming back. my guess is come next year my answer will be...Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in

Not me, no way, this team and organization just suck. Old Ralphie won't sell the team and won't discuss Jauron's contract extension. WTF is the big secret, what a joke. I'm done.... I'll watch the game on TV. When the home games are blacked out due to poor attendance, or they mercifully leave town, I'll watch a different game on the NFL ticket. Oh, did I say the Bills suck.... There, I feel much better now, thanks......

I have had season tickets for 12 years now. When I was younger my mood during the week would literally depend on if the bills won or loss that given sunday. I look back at it now & I think that is kinda pathetic. Now, as we all do, I got older(I am 35), a little wiser, you get a wife & son & your perspectives change. The best part for me now is getting together with friends on a sunday morning 8 times.. err I mean 7 times a year that I do not get to see that much anymore because we all have families. We get there at 8:00, drink, grill out, talk abnout what is going on in our lives. I would not trade it for the world. Maybe if the bills were better over the year I would feel differently but now, when I am at the game I cheer like h*ll for them to win, but when I get home from the game, that is it. I do not let the outcome carry over like I used to. I am going to renew next year, enjoy them while they still are here. After all, it is just a game.
