Cynical Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Well back then he was the hot name. Now it's a question of finding what a job with what ever team will hire him. He's not in the drivers seat like he was back then. Plus no idea how true that whole thing was or not about him not wanting to come here. It could have been TD not wanting to bring in a person who could stand up to him as has also been rumored. No rumor. There was a Baltimore Sun interview with Lewis regarding his not being picked by the Bills. In that article Lewis is stated as saying: TD wanted Lewis to commit to the job. Lewis refused stating he wanted his family to visit the WNY first, and refused to give a time frame for that to happen. TD chose GW as the Bills HC. To truly understand the context, this was taking place in February. TD was already taking heat for waiting that long to select a HC, because all the good assistant coaches were gone.
markj Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Is this some kinda of joke? I guess that what you get with lossman playing.
billnutinphoenix Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 People ask me at my work..do you really like that team?..folks, it is hard to justify your reasons other than you are from there...
bdelma Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Hey Toronto this is Buffalo football at its best, nice and boring.
BuffaloBill Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 This reminds me of the last days of TD...when the Bills were just imploding completely. Complete disarray. I would disagree .. this team is in total apathy not disarray. Either way they suck
outsidethebox Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 People ask me at my work..do you really like that team?..folks, it is hard to justify your reasons other than you are from there... They ask me that to, and I live here!
Brandon Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Can't watch the game so I've been listening and doing Christmas work.Just took a peek at the stats. HOLY S ... that's some bad offense on the part of the Bills. You usually see offensive stats from you "triplets" JP, Lynch, Evans - in a single drive - not a half of football. The continued regression of this offense is stunning. They're just playing the same way that they have for the last several seasons. Folks, the Bills have been 25th or worse in total yardage for each of the past five years prior to this season, including 30th in each of DICK's two years here. This is not a surprise, nor are they regressing. This is what they are.
DrFishfinder Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 This is at least 6 quarters without a TD. Just putrid.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 make me wonder if the investment in ST is worth it oh yeah it is I get to watch any game I want, time to watch another game and listen in on the radio
Erik Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Do Evans (#1 draft pick) and Lynch (#1 draft pick) still play on the Bills? It's hard to tell. Maybe I should call a time-out and check. Fred Jackson?
BuffaloBill Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 This team plays like it does not want to win. How sad - I can't even get mad right now. I am just in a state of disbelief
jad1 Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Do Evans (#1 draft pick) and Lynch (#1 draft pick) still play on the Bills? It's hard to tell. Maybe I should call a time-out and check. Well Losman's a first round pick too. So this is what terrible play calling combined with horrible decision making looks like. I'll bet the CFL is looking pretty good to all the locals who overpaid for this bag of Ralph Wilson crap.
bdelma Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Its pretty sad when, that you have to watch other games to get your NFL fix!
Da Big Man Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Disgust, Disgrace, Dissapointed, These guys should just pack it up. Forfeit the second half, it won't be any worse than the way they are playing. These guys are hopeless, heartless and helpless.
Saudi Arabia Rob Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 No rumor. There was a Baltimore Sun interview with Lewis regarding his not being picked by the Bills. In that article Lewis is stated as saying: TD wanted Lewis to commit to the job. To truly understand the context, this was taking place in February. TD was already taking heat for waiting that long to select a HC, because all the good assistant coaches were gone. I'm assuming no one actually wants Lewis as the HC, Cincinatti is actually in worse shape than Buffalo right now. Maybe he'd be a decent DC for someone.

JPicc2114 Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I dont know what you guys are expecting.. there's no talent here.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Was that crowd chanting "Let's go Dolphins"? Just got to the computer. Wanted to make sure I heard that right! Let's go Dolphins chant before their first TD. F'n great!
silvermike Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 The Bills aren't making huge mistakes - totally blown coverages on deep passes, fumbles, picks. They're just not doing anything successfully. ANYthing.
bdelma Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 This team plays like it does not want to win. How sad - I can't even get mad right now. I am just in a state of disbelief Agree
