stevestojan Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 At least it wasnt a heartbreaking loss this series. The Sox simply crushed the Birds... Maybe next year.
Nervous Guy Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I wonder if he's still on "Cloud Friggin' 9"?
HurlyBurly51 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I am very disappointed in this world series. At least make it competitive - the cardinals just have fallen flat on their face and show no heart. Pathetic choke. I knew they should't even have been the NL representative in the series.
Thailog80 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I wonder if he's still on "Cloud Friggin' 9"? 87642 The Cards are like "White Cloud" and the Sox are whipping their asses with them...
ExiledInIllinois Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Ya... At least the Yanks did win three... The BoSox will win and they do deserve it. Yet, if the Cards can pull two out in St. Louie (which can be done in this format)... I think the BoSox fans will sweat a little.
buckeyebrian Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I wonder if he's still on "Cloud Friggin' 9"? 87642 Like us after the AFC final against the Raiders in '91, and then after SB 25.
Thailog80 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Like us after the AFC final against the Raiders in '91, and then after SB 25. 87653 No we were actually close in our game.

Alaska Darin Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Tony LaRussa once again loses a championship with the best team in baseball. Stunning.
Satan Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Tony LaRussa once again loses a championship with the best team in baseball. Stunning. 87892 Hush up. LaRussa's a genius. And John Kerry has a plan.
gantrules Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 So far in this postseason I've heard that the....... Cards have choked Astros have choked Yankees have choked Braves have choked but yet all along Boston has been the favorite.....how does that happen??? I mean don't you have to be favored to choke? The only real "choke job" I saw was the Yanks this year......

stevestojan Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004 How can you call the Cardinals the best team in baseball? Their pitching is terrible. 87899 didn't they win like four hundred games this year?

They Yankees choked in a historic manner. The Cardinals are choking to a much lesser extent, but choking nonetheless. The haven't played this poorly all season and their base running blunders in the first 3 innings are a microcosm of what is going on. Amazing. That said, this series isn't over until one team wins 4 games.
Alaska Darin Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Didn't SI have the Cubs and BoSox in the WS for their pre-season prediction... I think half is right... 87903 That'd make them about one for 1,437,502 over the years.
gantrules Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 lol.....their ERA was ranked in the top two in the MLB across a 162 game season. If you want to say their pitching has been terrible in this series then go ahead. But for me to say "Boston's defense is terrible" based on three games would be stupid. BF..if you are reading this stuff don't pay any mind......it's the same old same old...people want the Cards are a joke but yet somehow they fought their ass off to get to the WS. They are the second best team in baseball in my mind for 2004. Is that going to give any pride right now? No. But, did you expect to be watching the Cards in the WS when spring training began? If the answer in "no" then consider yourself fortunate. On the other hand...Boston was SUPPOSE to get to this point. They are SUPPOSE to be winning these games. They damn near choked away a series to the Yanks....they are on fire right now. Not much you can do about that.
Rubes Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Man, you guys are really ripping BF. Oh wait, never mind. He prodded the bear pretty bad.
