Mark VI Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Jennings - Twisted ankle, showed him getting up and walking on it. Didn't look too bad. Will check the swelling out tomorrow. Losman - Vincent and Losman accidently collided. Not a cheap shot. Losman planted his foot in an awkward position and his ankle twisted. Showed him sitting on ground in obvious pain. Then carted off. X-rays and will know more tomorrow. Nothing official yet. STay tuned No mention of Moulds. Murphy said these were the only 2 injuries. Call off the lynch mob for Vincent. Just one of those things.
Thailog80 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I just extinguished my torch. Thanks for the update.
Ramius Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 yup, v-coach just said losman and jennings left practice early, both with ankle injuries...nothing on moulds...
nodnarb Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 thanks mark. sounds like JP's injury is the worst of the lot. you know, an injury to JP is inevitable the way he's been playing. He needs to learn how to protect his body...have you seen how he has lowered his head into tacklers during pre-season? Lucky he hasn't hurt himself doing that. If he doesn't learn to slide, he's never going to be healthy.
Mile High Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 well the way i see it trimble just said that losman wasn't expecting a shoulder from vincent. bottom line if he's wearing a red jersey don't touch him.. period. he also said he was running out on the right side and decided to not go out of bounds. and to cut it back to the field and run with it instead. then he said vincent just gave him a shoulder. and losman said he didn't expecty it at all.
mcjeff215 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 JP rolling right, instead of cutting OOB, cut up.. Troy gave him a shoulder. JP was unaware that he was going to get hit (because he was in red jersey). Losman went down and banged up his left ankle. Hearing Jonas will be in practice tomorrow... just left to get it iced. Moulds... just enough to bother him, was planning on taking tomorrow off. Took today off instead. Will be back tomorrow as well.
Mark VI Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 Murph talked to Vincent and you could see he felt bad. Said they were both letting up and Losman brushed his pad, stumbled , then fell. Just an unlucky accident. and WGR reported a cheap shot ! They take the friggin' cake ! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
Kelly the Dog Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Jennings told paul hamilton he is fine and will be at practice tomorrow. He just got leg whipped.
mcjeff215 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 MM not pleased, but didn't think it warranted anything else. Troy didn't even realize JP fell down.

zow2 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Better for Losman to learn a tough lesson now. Start protecting your body and stop being so reckless. Just get the hell out of bounds.
Mark VI Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 On Channel 4 , they said Vincent was running straight out of bounds, letting up, with Losman, in front of him, looking like he would do the same. Losman then cut back upfield, for some reason, catching the edge of Vincents pad, stumbling and coming down awkward on his left ankle. Losman may have made a silly move and it wound up costing him. DB, who was interviewed, kind of saw it that way.
Guffalo Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Were we counting on JP to be a starter? Not that I am pleased and we don't have all the facts, but we should just take a deep breath. This was our third string QB. What is important is that he gets the proper treatment and hopefully he will not be impaired in the long run. He does have the ability to move away from the rush and I would hate to see that diminished for the future of the team. Lets just relax and wait for the final results to come in.
BILLS4LIFE Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 The Sportscaster on Channel 7 had the Losman injury as the opening story and I didnt like what he said...that they think his injury is similar to Michael Vicks last season!
