nuklz2594
Has anyone else drafted more 1st round secondary picks than us? I was looking at various mock drafts, many say we will draft a CB in the 1st round. Say it ain't so.!! Who will slit their wrists first if this happens? We'll take a TE in the 6th and a RB in the 4th. We always do
Dibs
Has anyone else drafted more 1st round secondary picks than us?..... Good question.....out of the last 10 1st round picks for each team it works out that 4 teams(Raiders, Chargers, Giants & Redskins) have drafted more....with another 3 teams(Cowboys, Panthers & Titans) drafting the same number. 8 wins or more this season in bold 4 wins or less this season in red Looks to me that 1st round DB selection does not correlate to the win/loss of a team. Perhaps building a strong team has a lot more complexities than simple 1st round draft picks positions. 5DBs Raiders 4DBs Chargers Giants Redskins 3DBs Bills Cowboys Panthers Titans 2DBs Bengals Broncos Cardinals Dolphins Jaguars Packers Rams Seahawks 1DB 49ers Bucs Colts Eagles Falcons Jets Patriots Ravens Steelers Texans 0DBs Bears Browns Chiefs Lions Saints Vikings
silvermike
I haven't seen any mock drafts that say we're going CB - I wouldn't trust those that do. I've mostly seen DE.
Fewell733
1st round corner doesn't make sense. we do need one more CB assuming Greer leaves but can do that in FA. I've mainly seen TE or DE.
silvermike
How high would you guys be willing to take Alex Mack? If we end up picking #11 or so, would that be too soon for a center?

Not IMO......but we'd have to suffer the whole "We could have traded down & still got him" brigade if we did take him at #11.

If we end up picking #11 or so, would that be too soon for a center? it's probably way too early for a center unless there is a freak of nature out there. but it's also too early to actually know where basically anybody is gonna be picked. Year after year we talk about guys during the season that are sure 1st rounders and they end up barely being drafted. It's not crazy to think that Mack could end up being a 4th or 5th rounder (where most centers that are drafted end up being drafted).
