The Big Cat Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I'm on my way to buy a new external HD, and I was hoping someone clarify a bit of advice I had already received about backing up a mac computer: Somebody had once said that all you need to do is click and drag your "user" icon in the finder menu into the external and it essentially created a clone of you computer so that if you needed to operate your user data in another mac, all you needed to do was access the "user" file saved to the external. Is this correct?
