BRH Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 No. The rule now differentiates between a casual removal, and removal in anger or removal for the purpose of taunting. So Davis took his helmet off because it was itchy. Got it.
Big Turk Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I did not see that ball tipped i didn't see PI either, but the refs apparently are seeing something noone else is....
Since 1972 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 With our caliber of play and the ref's calls I wish all the fans in the stands would get up and walk out
silvermike Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I really hate that the networks go to commercial during a review. I want to see it.
stevewin Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I did not see that ball tipped No - but that angle clearly shows no PI - too bad that is moot
DrFishfinder Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 As it will be the only one Dick's ever won. If Dick gets this call, McCain won.
stuckincincy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 So Davis took his helmet off because it was itchy. Got it. You got an itch?
LabattBlue Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 The Bills staffer who is in charge of watching the replays is a MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Numark Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I have a new game. Let us all place bets to see when the 3rd timeout will be used by buffalo. I say 10 minutes left in 4th quarter
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 The ref never said it went beyond the LOS, he stated it was near the LOS and according to him, that's good enough per the rule. By challanging you can't force the official to pull out a rule book and read it to verify that he got the rule correct. That's not the purpose of challanging. It likely wil lbe one of these things that comes out around Thursday that the offical was incorrect but it won't change anything during the game. Simple. Where did the ball land? You don't challenge the ref's idiocy, you challenge the placement of the ball, because you know the rule.
Maguire's Beer Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 God, what's Jauron's record on challenges for the year? For his Buffalo career?
TheChimp Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Maybe Dick was brought in to just dismantle Buffalo as a city. He sure looks like the guy one would want if they wanted to see the stands empty in two years.
wardigital Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Don't even touch him there, he's going to fall short of the first down anyway. That was a horribly weak call on McKelvin, but still, why even touch him?
Boomer860 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 With our caliber of play and the ref's calls I wish all the fans in the stands would get up and walk out Right on
silvermike Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Now, did somebody ask Denney if he had touched the ball?
KD in CA Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 No. The rule now differentiates between a casual removal, and removal in anger or removal for the purpose of taunting. Are you serious? No more incidental facemask, but they have a "casual removal" classification for helmet removal?
