McD Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 My 7 year old just told me to watch that guy out wide....ya know the guy who just got the first down....DAMNIT!
Cynical Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 You call this real football? Nope. I was referring to TheChimps request for a new team. If that happens, I would prefer an open air stadium.
Maguire's Beer Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I want Ralph and his mutant children to sell this cursed club to Toronto and then have Jim Kelly buy a team and give Buffalo a brand new team in a dome downtown. THAT would be cool. I wanna win the lottery, but it ain't happening. Once the Bills leave, that's it for the NFL in Buffalo. Toronto will probably play one game a year at RWS for a few years, and then no more. It sucks, but it's likely.
BRH Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 And where's the 15 yards for Davis taking his helmet off
bills44 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 isn't removing your helmet on the playing field a penalty?
TheChimp Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 When you challange a call you're asking the officals to review the video of the play to determine what really happened. You're not asking them to read the rule book. It sounds like from what others are saying, the ref blew it by not knowing the rule, however I doubt a ruling can be changed via a challange becasue a ref interpeted a rule incorrectly. It's there for the purpose of correcting things that were not seen corrrectly due to speed of play. In some other sports, a misinterpetation of a rule (which sounds like this may have been) can be protested, but I don't think there's a protest process during the middle of an NFL game. Simple. Where did the ball land? You don't challenge the ref's idiocy, you challenge the placement of the ball, because you know the rule.
49er Fan Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I like this kid Jason Hill 5 catches today
BRH Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 isn't removing your helmet on the playing field a penalty? Yep, and not getting the ball back to the LOS is grounding. Except when you're playing Buffalo.
stuckincincy Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 isn't removing your helmet on the playing field a penalty? That rule was changed for this season.
The Avenger Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 3rd and 11 - I give them an 85% chance of converting
DrFishfinder Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 That play was so slow to develop, but yet no defenders reacted to it No pressure on SF QB what so ever. None.
BRH Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 That rule was changed for this season. Why, because Emmitt Smith retired? Maybe they'll legalize the horsecollar after Roy Williams retires. What a bull sh-- call
zow2 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 great, the refs decide to take over the game, F-them
