Hossage Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 To put any speculation of his possible return to rest, I am aware than schobel will not play this year. Let us now continue to lay into his replacements and lament our lack of pass rush.
Lori Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Not sure where you're getting your info from. Bills injured DE Schobel resumes light workouts Associated Press ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Defensive end Aaron Schobel is on track to return within three weeks after the Buffalo Bills' top pass-rusher began light workouts to test his injured left foot this week, The Associated Press has learned. A person familiar with the injury told the AP on Wednesday that Schobel is scheduled to begin more intense on-field workouts next week with the possibility he could be cleared to play in Buffalo's game at the New York Jets on Dec. 14. The timetable fits the one provided to Schobel on Nov. 5 when he visited a specialist in North Carolina and had a cast placed on his foot to protect a sprained ligament to his big toe, the person said.

Not the most realiable source though.
PNW_Bills_Fan Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Not the most realiable source though. If we keep winning he will be. If we lose he wont be back. I think is what he was trying to say.

Toledo Bill Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Unless I am mistaken, we were lamenting our lack of a pass rush while he was healthy...
John Adams Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Not the most realiable source though. Not as reliable as you anyways.
Jerry Jabber Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Whether Schobel comes back or not, he wasn't a difference maker this year when he was healthy. The Bills FO needs to make serious upgrades at the DE position in the offseason.
marauderswr80 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Even with him they didnt have a pass rush.
Flutie Flakes Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Even with him they didnt have a pass rush. You are correct with the exception of the first game against Seattle in which we had 5 sacks (Schoebel = 1). Remaining four games he played, team had a total of.....you guessed it 5 SACKS (Schoebel = 0). No question that the pass rush (with and without Schobel) is a major issue and needs to be addressed through free agency and draft. GO BILLS!

Ouija board. Whether Schobel comes back or not, he wasn't a difference maker this year when he was healthy. The Bills FO needs to make serious upgrades at the DE position in the offseason. Have you noticed the difference in the play of the defense with and without him?

Then the High Motor Duo would be unleashed on NFL quarterbacks! Oh.... Wait.
TheKing Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Ouija board. Just about, it's not a very reliable source.
Lori Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Just about, it's not a very reliable source. The Associated Press? Really?
dave mcbride Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 yes John Wawrow may well be the most reliable Bills beat reporter in the country.

DanInUticaTampa Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Not the most realiable source though. the associated press? they are pretty reliable at getting good info....
Lori Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 yes One wonders what source would be more reliable than Wawrow's expert opinion?
