Ramius Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Ummm, last time i checked, Ellison is our backup LB who has been forced to play due to injury. Its not as if we choose him to be the starter.

The coaches need to realize this and not let him get in a position where he has to cover an RB all alone. He is good vrs the run and great as a blitzer. He should only be on the field on passing downs if he is going to blitz. Poz I think is playing well. He is the onlny player who doesn't miss tackles. He has a lot more tackles than the stats say. Ellison is nothing more than a bad backup. I still have a high opinion of DiGorgio, I hope to see him replace Ellison next year, because I doubt we get another starting caliber LB.

bananathumb Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Gott a agree that we are in trouble with our LBs. Problem is, he need to draft or sign a FA defensive end as well. In first round, it is either DE or OLB depending on which of these positions we address in free agency. Poz regularly reacts too quickly and gets blocked out of plays. Ellison is virtually useless and Mitchell is inconsistent, but at least sometimes makes big plays.
