SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I read that and was impressed by the insight and research that he did. It just goes to show that Bill Simmons is a very talented sportswriter when he stops fellating Boston area sports teams.
BuffOrange Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 The RCA Dome was grossly overrated to begin with. I guess the myth of that building exists because they struggled in Foxboro in January and killed Denver at home a couple of times; but outisde of that that they've won @Baltimore, @KC, and choked at home as the #1 seed three times. Manning's home/road records are very close in the regular season as well. There's some merit to what he's saying though - teams like Washington seemed to have completely lost their HFA.

He is as good as they get when he's not talking out of his a** about stuff he doesn't really know about, or about anything to do with Boston teams. He's probably the best basketball writer on the planet.
