WellDressed Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...3/811230362/tbd "Coach (Dick) Jauron has made it known that we're still even (.500), there are teams still below us, and if we reel off six in a row we're right back in there. "We may not win the division, but we might get a wild-card." -Langston Walker Even!!?!?!?!?! Even doesn't effing matter when you've lost 4 in a row and starting out 5-1. Reeling off six in a row should be cake too right Lang? Might get a wild card? What, does someone give it to you, is a wild card birth doled out like welfare? Please explain Lang. "We don't try to hide from the fact that we haven't played up to the standards that we've set for ourselves recently, but we're still the team that played that way early to get us where we are." -Dick Jauron And I thought Langston had more sense than that.
keepthefaith Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 We haven't been mathematically eliminated from the post-season yet. We're 5-5. That's competitive. Cheer up, guys. Once again, hopes hang on the mathematical possibilities rather than confidence or being in a good position within the division.
Sisyphean Bills Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Once again, hopes hang on the mathematical possibilities rather than confidence or being in a good position within the division. No worries. Everyone on ESPN just said the Bills will finish 4th in the AFC East. Except Boomer. He tossed out a bone and was trying to click his ruby slippers.
TheChimp Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 No worries. Everyone on ESPN just said the Bills will finish 4th in the AFC East. Except Boomer. He tossed out a bone and was trying to click his ruby slippers. Weird, because he usually hates us.
Sisyphean Bills Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Weird, because he usually hates us. Boomer hates us and Mort loves us. Yep.
MDH Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Dick Jauron has manipulated this entire organization into mediocrity, the players, management and apparently even Ralph himself seem to feel as if this team is right where it needs to be. There is always a "but" to his statements which should annoy any and everyone. The team was mediocre well before Jauron got here and they'll likely be mediocre long after he's gone. I wouldn't blame him for "manipulating" them into accepting mediocrity. It's in their blood.
Flbillsfan#1 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 This season reminds me of Sam Wyches last year in Tampa. After many years of BAD football (much like Buffalo) Wyche had the Bucs @ 5-1. At a PC Sam said 5 DASH 1, the Bucs fell apart right after that & Sam was fired for Tony Dungy the next year. The Bucs went on to play good football under Dungy with many players drafted while Wyche was there (Sapp & Brooks) I don't know if Wyche would have turned it around the next year if not fired but I doubt it.
