Chef Jim Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I don't understand gift cards. What's the benefit? If they came with a 10% discount or something, then they would make sense. They simply lock you in to one store and some of them even expire. It's a cop out for the buyer. They don't have to think about a gift, they just buy a card. Oh BTW, that's why I love to give them.
Bmwolf21 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Myself, I like to ask for gift cards for Christmas for a couple reasons - when we travel home for the holidays, gift cards are much easier to bring back, and by asking for GC's to the same store I can save up and splurge on something big that I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford or is more than I would want to spend.
