The Fix is On?

In his PC today, Trent indicated that one thing that has been consistent though the losing streak has been defenses showing them things he's never seen them do before. We saw this with Oakland and St. Louis, but were able to overcome the changes because we were simply the better team. The reliance on film for the first two weeks of the season can't be that strong, so that explains the Jax and Seattle games. And against San Diego, we had two weeks to prepare. Could these mystery schemes be the one TRUE needle breaking the camel's back? With as close as our losses have been, any little wrinkle could be the cause for demise. Preparing for the WRONG defenses is a pretty big wrinkle.

Why does it seem to be the case that our opponent's have their schemes and then their scheme for when they play Buffalo? Say what you will about a coach's role in preparing his team, but if there's no film WHATSOEVER on the things opponents are doing, how are they expected to be effective right out of the shoot?

It's called imposing your will on another team and THAT'S exactly what we are NOT doing. I'm sick of taking what the other team is giving us. It's time to take what we want. Don't ask, take.

Okay, well that's not how Jauron coaches. So, while yours is a viable solution, it's not a realistic one. I didn't pose the question to start another "if I were the coach" thread.

Okay, well, in response to this dilemma, DJ said in HIS PC, that part of the problem is Trent's youth- that he's seeing a lot of things for the first time, and that will happen less and less. Sounds like DJ isn't in a position to take or impose anything, and the person who is isn't.

Coaching & playcalling had NOTHING to do with Trent FAILING to throw to a WIDE OPEN Lee Evans the ENTIRE GAME. It sounds like he just threw his coaches under the bus along with Lindell. Funny how he isn't critisized for that while JP was persecuted for calling out Fairchild last year.

People have been spitting nails here like they were after last year's MNF, calling for DJ's head over the three plays at the end of the game. To me (and anyone who's ever played sports), putting the blame on ONE person's actions over the course of just THREE plays during a game is insane. Plus, the rationalization for electing to run during these plays in question can DEFINITELY be made.

There's always a rationalization. It's how the Dick Jaurons, Dave Wannstedts, and Norv Turners keep their jobs.
