DC Tom
"I am running to tell the lobbyists in Washington that their days of setting the agenda are over. They have not funded my campaign. They won't work in my White House." Can you remember now? Technically, they're not working in "his White House", since he's not the President. He's the President-elect, which is kind-of an important distinction to anyone without "stupid" in their name.
DC Tom
tran·si·tion (trn-zshn, -ssh-)n. 1. Passage from one form, state, style, or place to another. Technically, if they're on his transition team, they're setting the agenda contrary to what Obama promised. Which should be obvious to anyone who should have "stupid" in his name, but instead has "elliot".

DC Tom
Just as I thought. What, exactly, do you think a "transition team" does that doesn't set policy?
elegantelliotoffen
What, exactly, do you think a "transition team" does that doesn't set policy? http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/15/us/polit...&ei=5087%0A After campaigning on promises to end the influence of lobbyists in the White House, Mr. Obama has imposed rules that bar officials on his transition team from handling any issues in areas of policy where they have lobbied over the last 12 months or from seeking to influence the same agencies for the next 12 months. The rules also bar officials from working on matters where family members or recent business associates may have a direct conflict of interest. In cases where there is even an “appearance of conflict,” officials must seek a waiver from the transition’s executive director, an Obama Senate aide and law school classmate, Christopher Lu. Please share your proof that any of these people are using their position on the Obama transition team to benefit a special interest that they are currently a paid lobbyist for (without resorting to the typical DC Tom talking points please).
