youngunz Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 With Warner having such a great year this year, anticiapte seeing #7 behind center next year. #7 = Jeff Garcia
TheKing Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It would be a nice change of pace to see a QB in there who has already arrived. Watching these project QBs develop gets a little old.
keepthefaith Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 With Warner having such a great year this year, anticiapte seeing #7 behind center next year. #7 = Jeff Garcia Don't forge the center position itself. That needs an upgrade my gosh.
JPicc2114 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Id rather not have a quarterback with an AARP card
Jdorn Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Id rather not have a quarterback with an AARP card Yeah cause after all its not like dinosaurs like Garcia and Collins could possibly post winning records eh?
Tcali Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 With Warner having such a great year this year, anticiapte seeing #7 behind center next year. #7 = Jeff Garcia I was lobbying for Garcia 4-5 yrs ago. It s a bit late now--the guy is 40.
silvermike Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Garcia plays really well in Jon Gruden's offense. Unless he comes over too, Garcia will just be a panicking old man taking snaps from Duke Preston.
Coach Tuesday Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Garcia is a ridiculous suggestion. They need to stick w Trent but sign an insurance policy like Leftwich.
Hsp08 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Here's some daydreaming for us...say Bills picked up Favre during his fiasco with the Packers back August, where would we be...8-2 or 9-1? Even with all the inefficiencies with the Bills, I think Brett would have given us excitement for a few years...well worth a high round pick compensation for a winner....would have uplifted the psyche of the team and the city of Buffalo! Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda....
KD in CA Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 How about changing this thread to "AT Center next year...."
Stenbar Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I am all for the Trent DIlfer, Kerry Collins type QB....Bring em in if Trent doesnt work out..I would much rather have a QB who can make a play now than one who has to learn how for 3 years..
WadeSux Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Trent Edwards has gone from good to f-ing terrible. At this point he's no better than JP but with a worse arm. I'm not saying JP needs to be back in or anything but they need a new VETERAN QB next season. Garcia is awful so he's not the answer and Warner is pushing 80 so he's not the answer. Leftwich might not be a bad fit; we'll need someone who can take a hit behind that crappy O-line. Van Pelt is obviously not a good QB coach, probably because he was never a good QB, so we need a vet who already knows how to play and won't be influenced into being crappy under Van Pelt's watch. Of all the Bills teams over the past 10 years, I probably hate the performance of this one the most.
