Chilly Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 My gf and I are having an argument, what is the proper term: Slippers or House Shoes?
Chef Jim Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 My gf and I are having an argument, what is the proper term: Slippers or House Shoes? I'd recommend condoms but then again I've been married a long time.
The Dean Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 My gf and I are having an argument, what is the proper term: Slippers or House Shoes? House shoes? What the hell does that mean? Slippers, for Christ's sake. Here's your test. Go to Macys.com. Search for slippers, and see the results. Now search for "house shoes" and see what comes up.
Beerball Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 My gf and I are having an argument Interesting turn of a phrase. Anyway...they are slippers. And to nip your next question in the bud...a robe is not a housecoat.
/dev/null Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Son, there's only two things in Texas And steers don't wear slippers or house shoes
molson_golden2002 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 BAREFOOT I can't go barefoot. I always need a pair of shoes on. I like really old worn out sneakers to wear at home. Those Crocs are nice, too!

Nervous Guy Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Interesting turn of a phrase. Anyway...they are slippers. And to nip your next question in the bud...a robe is not a housecoat. I never heard of house shoes...but robe=housecoat, no doubt.

The Dean Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I never heard of house shoes...but robe=housecoat, no doubt. Housecoat passes the macys.com test. Robes and housecoat produce roughly the same results...robes and housecoats. Actually, for me a housecoat is a female-specific robe, as smoking-jacket is a male specific (and specialized) alternative. But, Macy's doesn't have that same take, it seems.
