BenchBledsoe Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It is surreal what Buffalo sports teams do to us poor fans. It never, EVER stops. The torture is beyond what any normal sports fans have to endure. 4-0 and 5-1 to 5-5??? Lose at home on Monday night to Cleveland in an absolute must win game?? Only in Buffalo can a team get off to a 4-0 start and be virtually eliminated by week 10. the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
Nyghtewynd Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 There seems to be a common thread in all of this, and it's not the franchise. Go Toronto.

Torture beyond imagination for fans of other teams. Complete emptiness. Time to pick a new team to root for.
JPicc2114 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Like I said when the Bills were 5-1 .. remember the Detroit Lions last year? 6-2 and ended up 7-9
bschmoove Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I bet a lady at work $5 and gave her 5 points. She's from Cleveland and had no idea about the game. Now I must pay her. God Damn you Bills.
BenchBledsoe Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 Like I said when the Bills were 5-1 .. remember the Detroit Lions last year? 6-2 and ended up 7-9 Yes, I believe we are right about on par with the Detroit franchise (that run in the early 90's was obviously not the norm for this horrible franchise)
Bills Fan888 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Like I said when the Bills were 5-1 .. remember the Detroit Lions last year? 6-2 and ended up 7-9 We share their pain.
Jukester Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Watching two of the most unfortunate franchises in the NFL duke it out, you just knew it was going to be a heartbreaker one way or the other. The Browns have already had their share this year. But i was sure we'd take the title tonight and when Lindell lined up, it was a given that he'd miss. I don't even get as worked up as i used to over losses like this because i know it's coming. It's got to be some sort of cosmic practical joke. Someone, somewhere, in a place beyond our understanding, is laughing his ass off.
bigbillsfan12 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 its funny, because when thy lined up for that FG i knew they were going to miss, no doubt they were going to miss. i'm so sick of this team.
Hossage Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I had that distinct feeling too. Everyone was oddly quiet, dreading to be let down. Correcting the problem starts with admitting it. This is a loser city. Were the bills tonight as businesslike and professional as when the cowboys ripped my heart out and stomped on it during our last monday night game? Although we finally did play with some fire tonight, especially on the offensive line. I havent seen peters run block like that in a year. Lynch was awesome. Freddy would not go down. Our defense was superb, despite the efforts of the refs.
BoondckCL Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Stoicism is not a virtue around here is it? Just do what we in Buffalo have always done and take a drink everytime you think about it until you cannot remember anymore.
Kipers Hair Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The Bills are in that nowhere zone of NFL franchises - a hair better than the Cincinatti's and Detroits of the world, but certainly not even sniffing the playoff calibre teams...
BoondckCL Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 At least I didn't spend $300 for three tickets for this Monday night game, like last year.

I feel like I'm going to cry...seriously... When things aren't going well in life sometimes, just sometimes you lean on your favorite football team to give you some happiness even if it is somewhat empty and doesn't last very long, it's still happiness and it just makes you so briefly forget all the other things in life that are bringing you down. The Bills have gone this year from providing me that happiness with their start to reminding me how utterly depressing my life is... Thanks Dick.

I'm man enough to admit I've shed tears over the Bills in the past, but this time I just took a walk home from my friends apartment in the snow in utter stunned silence.
bills4sb Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It's clear we're mediocre. But it's just so f'in annoying to hear tools on ESPN say oh wide right just like bills fans have heard before...f* them
TheChimp Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 At least we'd all be put out of misery . . . So it's not wrong to wish that Ralph would just die? I feel better now.

Thanks Dick. when i see Dick-wads face u just feel this sense of doom and loserishness. everything about the man sickens me. i want to snap his neck every time i see him do his gay ass lifeless clap after every play, good or bad.
