TE was already well on his way to redeeming himself with 2 last minute drives to take the lead. He had regained at least some confidence so why stop with all that time left and 1st down?! Play action would've probably netted an easy 1st down, if not a TD.

Do you really care - all that should matter in pro sports is the wins and losses...not acceptable to sit back like a mindless drone, keep buying tickets and saying - "hey let's look to next week....month...year". No acceptable at all. Demand better or don't bother. Go Titans.

Ok, you have a QB that struggled all night, and you are driving deep. Now, conventional wisdom is to not take the risk and shatter his confidence. Now, I am not the biggest Jauron fan. But I am going to stand by his decision. Think about it, no matter how the Bills lost tonite Jauron was going to take a good deal of the heat. By losing this way, it is at least better than Edwards getting picked for the 20th time of the nite.

As for the jackasses that are talking about the team moving: !@#$ Off!!! If you can't stick by the team, through thick or thin, go cheer for the Pets*, Dolfelons, Clots.

Lets look forward to the Chefs game and hope for the team to get healthier.

Better to lose in conservative fashion and telegraph your lack of confidence in your QB's ability to perform. Yeah, that's probably got everybody's confidence much higher now. So high I think they'll probably drop a couple more games in a row as the media scrutiny and finger pointing reach enjoyable levels... Stupid...

Had the kick gone through, it was the running game tonight and plays by Lynch that covered Trent's ass.

For his career Lindell is:

15-25 from over 50 yards (60%)

47-72 from 40-49 yards (65%)

130-141 from 39 or less (92%)

I would think you'd want to try to move the ball into an under 40 yard range to go from a 3 out of 5 chance to a near certainty.

I also seem to remember the announcers saying early in the game Lindell has a 40something consecutive made streak on kicks under 40.

I suppose that running the ball can still put you in the position to get under 40 yards, and forces Cleveland to use time outs, but it's still too conservative given the spot on the field and the time left.

Cleveland did a nice job calling time outs which almost goaded the Bills into running.

If you want Trent to gain confidence, you let him win the game by getting you in decent field goal range--or at least give him a shot at passing the ball once on those last three plays. A play action pass, a quick out, something other than three dives into the line.

Instead he comes out of the game with the knowledge that when it came right down to it, the coaching staff did not trust him not to screw up the chance to win. They rather take a chance on a 47 yard field goal into the wind than on letting him try to make even a small play.

Let me add that Lindell didn't miss due to lack of power, he missed on accuracy... I am not lumping the loss on him, but it was still a reasonable distance for a FG even with the wind

But when you have to have more power on a kick you decrease your accuracy. Think golf.

Crennel gave the Bills 5 more yards by calling 2 timeouts. Jauron was content with the 50 yarder. Absolutely mind-boggling considering Edwards just threw his bet pass of the night.

By running it, Jauron forced Crennel to waste his T.O.'s. Had Lindell made it, It would have force Quinn to go 50 yards in 30 seconds w/o timeouts.

Hindsight is 20-20, now if that kick goes through, then no one is complaining. He had two options: Go with the QB that was playing like sh-- most of the game, or give the kicker a chance with a slightly long FG into the wind. Given the way the game was playing out, I can't fault DJ for that game.

How did they get to that point on the field? Throwing the ball. Go with what's working. Why change what you're doing just because of where you are on the field. It made no sense to pull up there.

stop blaming the Coaches....our million dollar kicker has to make a 47 yard FG....he has shown he can hit game winners like against washington last season and the Raiders, but tonight he CHOKED and because of that we will be talking about who we will take with the #11 pick in the draft again.

I like the Bill I DO NOT CARE if they are from Buffalo or Toronto so screw off! Buffalo is a broken down city that can not support a team GET REAL!

I may be Jauron's biggest critic on this board, and I think I can defend him a bit tonight. I saw some good things. Running out of the shotgun was effective. You can see that getting Lynch past the line of scrimmage has tremendous value. They did some things to get him the ball away from the pile. Defensively they went after the QB with a bigger pass rush and made some plays. It hurt them on a couple but overall it was a plus in the game.

On the last possession, you can question the 3 runs at the end. I think you expect to gain a few more yards than they did, but again you can see that when you plan to run into the pile and the other team knows it, not much is gained. Running left and putting the ball to the left hash is questionable unless Lindell wanted it there. On a tough night to kick at that end of the field, you really don't want it to be a 47 yarder. A short play action pass would have been low risk on 1st or 2nd down.

Dick made some changes from previous weeks. It almost worked. Turnovers again were the downfall.

It's one thing to be loyal to your team, but blindly accepting mediocrity isn't the answer either.

You know I personally would have gone further, however I don't blame him for pulling up there. I just hope that Trent is able to pull it together next week

Please. I'm begging you. Please stop.

If that kick goes through, you'd better believe I'd be complaining still. The only difference is there might be a couple more people popping up to defend Jauron, but they'd be as wrong as you are right now.

You lose accuracy when you have to kick the ball harder. Nobody thought he couldn't get the ball there from 47 yards...

There is a difference between blindly accepting mediocrity and saying that the team should f---in move. One is being a fan, the other is saying "I can't cheer for my team because they lose"

A real fan would put a paper bag over their head than talk about moving the team
