jahnyc
1. One of the worst performances by an NFL quarterback in a prime time game. TE was scared to throw the ball downfield. He has regressed and lost his confidence. He may not be the QB of the future after all. 2. Special teams were dominant. McKelvin, Jackson and Parrish were awesome. Provided excellent field position all game. 3. Running game was very good (except for the last drive). 4. Coaching was overall poor. Too many unecessary timeouts, team looked disorganized at times. 5. Virtually no chance to make the playoffs. Huge meltdown after a strong start. Pete
I agree with all your points. What was up with playing for a 47 yard FG into the wind? That was kitty football! And for the love of God- could we throw the ball to Lee Evans?
billnutinphoenix
#4 should be #1..Trent really was awful but this coaching staff had to see that Trent was getting a lot of time back there to throw..why not try ONCE a play action on the last series (either 1st or 2nd down)... /dev/null
agree on all 5 points. I'd like to add... #1 Trent's getting that Todd Collins deer in the headlights look #3 Can't fault the running game for that last drive. The Browns, 71,000 people at the Ralph, and everybody watching at home knew 3 runs were coming. The running game on the last drive is more related to point #
jahnyc
I am not sure that I have ever seen a qb that was afraid to throw the ball down the field, particulary where he had so much time to throw the ball. That is not a qb type mentality. Very odd.
