Nixon Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Has there ever been a OC or DC selected to the Hall? Without looking I'm thinking no. Though after watching the Buc's for the last so many years I've got to say that Monte Kiffin should be considered. (when he retires )His defences have been ranked amongst the top ten for ten years straight. Any other coordinators you guys think should be in the Hall? Walt Cory? Buddy Ryan? Wade Phillips? Any thoughts? The longevity of MK in Tampa is telling in my opinion. My vote would be YES, for MK.
billsfreak Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 No one has ever been selected for induction based on being a coordinator. Of course, most head coaches were coordinators, but kinda like special team players (Tasker), they are overlooked. Also a good amount of great coordinators (Buddy Ryan, Norv Turner, etc.) have hurt their reputations with thier disastrous tenures as Head Coaches.

The Tasker analogy works for Monte Kiffin.
