Are black people not referred to as "people of color"? I could have sworn that I heard that term and it was not considered a racist remark. Besides.....we need to get past some of this stuff.....America has come along far enough to vote in a black president.....we have come a long way.

More to the point, why is this such a big deal when you consider that THE civil rights organization to promote the advancement of African Americans is actually called The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People? That, of course, is acceptable. Lindsay Lohan, however, is offensive. Crazy.

(comes from the historical fact that when the Irish and Italians first emigrated to the US/America, they were the ones who took the low-service type jobs away from the African-Americans). Flame away all you Lohan lovers... I am just a dumb 3rd generation American that pronounces his last name in an Irish way because my relatives couldn't get a job on the railroad with the Polish pronounciation. Skin color is a hard thing to hide, there is no way around it... Name is another story.
