Marv's Neighbor
It seemed like there were too many cast changes. Of course when that happened, they took away the people that I enjoyed the most. I miss the Lancombe Lady!

apuszczalowski
I would rather watch MadTV then SNL which hasn't been funny in about a decade. But I would rather watch King of the Hill over The Simpsons, and hey, Fox canceled that one too!
The Big Cat
If anyone here does podcasts: There's a very interesting interview with Artie Lang on the NPR show Fresh Air. It's from just a few days ago.
The Dean
Favorite Mad TV moment: That whole series was awesome, along with Davey and Goliath take-off, Clops and a few others. Mad TV went WAY downhill, the beginning of last season, when they did shows in front of a huge audience, with a lot of (very marginal) stand-up, and (very bad) music. There were some big talents on that show. Aries Spears is phenomenal, IMO as is Will Sasso. Most of the women were pretty good, too. Mad TV's highs were rarely as good as the best things on the best episodes of SNL, but their lows weren't as bad as the crap on SNL, either (with the exception of the shows mentioned above). Recently, they both had parodies of The View on the same night. SNL's was done at a higher level, IMO. And, that was the real issue with Mad. The writing was OK, the skits were OK, but it never really distinguished itself from SNL, IMO. There were times when, during the last 30 minutes of Mad, I would switch back-and-forth between it and SNL, and would sometimes forget which show I was watching. When you are on at the same time as the "market leader" you need to be somewhat different and identifiable. IMO, Mad would have been a more successful show if it were on Friday, or Sunday, night.
