2003 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 -Bills' next three games: vs. Cleveland MNF game, the crowd will be rockin' and the team will be pumped. @ KC, hopefully no Larry Johnson. vs SF, a pretty easy game. -Brad Butler may be back next week. -Leodis McKelvin is gaining confidence as a Kick Returner. James Hardy may also be gaining confidence after that TD catch. -Dicky J says that he 'will find ways to help them [the team]'. -The Bills are 5-4. -Jason Peters won't be getting any mega-sized contract any time soon. Also, you guys should just be thankful to have a team to root for. Granted, the Bills are not a perennial powerhouse like the Patriots, but they are one of the longest withstanding teams in the entire league. Heck, they might be the one thing you have had in your life the longest! With all of this talk of the Bills moving to Toronto, I no longer take any game, whether it be a win or a loss for granted. I am a freaking 18 year old numbnuts who lives in Florida, but the Bills always have and always will have a significant role in my life and it should have one in yours' too! Another thing, the Bills are on the rise and no one should deny it. They have a 25 year old quarterback who is going to be a future star, a hard-nose duo of running backs, a head coach that players love to play for, exceptional special teams, and, most of all, character. The Bills management is willing to do what it takes to get the players it needs, too. The Bills may not be super this year, but they have a solid nucleus to build upon, and they will definitely appease us sometime in the near future.
SKOOBY Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 We can create fandamonium at the Ralph with a large group of well timed / placed mylar balloons if we are losing anymore home games.
Tom Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 At 5-4, How do the Bills "Right this Ship" ?? I hate to see the 4-0 start go down the toilet.

bdelma Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Why does Brad Butler inspire confidence. Pretty average guard.
Dr. Trooth Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Optimism? Optimism? That's the strategy??? That's it? Better tell Jauron... maybe he hasn't used that one yet.. How about facing reality? The Bills CANNOT beat a team that is .500 or above... that's a fact. Could they win the next 3? Perhaps, because the next 3 team they face teams which are < .500. What about beating a team > .500? Not gonna happen! They've demonstrated it every opportunity they've had. We need to acknowledge that this team really really stinks. Can't anyone deal with reality anymore?
MattM Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Why does Brad Butler inspire confidence. Pretty average guard. Average is a lot better than we've got right now in the middle of the line....

Well, no game is easy. Remember how we should have easily beaten Miami? That said, they should still be favored in the next three games. KC is still tough at home, despite how bad they are. Nevertheless, these guys better be prepared for Monday night. Don't focus on anything else but beating Cleveland. Speaking of Brad Butler, when will Melvin Fowler be back? McKelvin seems to be getting better KO returns, but if Hardy is to get confidence after a TD catch, what happened since week 2? Hardy needs to be making catches to keep drives moving, not just late-game TDs.
bizell Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 optimism: cleveland gave up 564 yards to denver last week.
FreakPop Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 optimism: cleveland gave up 564 yards to denver last week. I guess that means Buffalo should be somewhere around 200 total yards then.
bdelma Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I guess that means Buffalo should be somewhere around 200 total yards then. Good one. Maybe turk will run the ball on third and one for once.
wonderbread Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 This offense doesn't run enough draws on third and long for me.
Tom Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 optimism: cleveland gave up 564 yards to denver last week. yeah and only with 123 yards rushing..........
/dev/null Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Optimism: No Bills have murdered anyone in the last 14 years

Boomer860 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 From what I see around the league , all teams are playing with enthusiasm ,except the Bills. It used to be at least when they lost they were trying ,not anymore. Big offensive line , right , big and fat and slow. Stumble bums. I wonder if any one has told the offense that you have to score to win? No pity on the millionaires. There is no excuse for poor performance.

There is a real possibility that we can go to 8-4 however, it is not going to be easy with the way we have been playing. I look at it now like we almost have to win out.
jahnyc Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 The Bills may end up with a better record than last year, but I have lost all faith in this team. If there was a year to have, success this was it. Brady out for the year, and one of the easiest schedules of all time (Oakland, St. Louis, KC, San Fran, Cleveland, Seattle, etc.). If they can't make the playoffs this year, when will they? Miami is improving, the Jets are better, and the Pats will get Brady back next year.
