Well I went for the first time in 25 years or so. Does it seem strange that there were 500 food stands, and only about 40 rides?

Also, we were watching channel 7 reporter (don't know who he is), jump from the free fall ride. We watched his whle report being filmed, but didn't watch the newscast that night.

You know I have dome some things, but I hate heights and would not do the 120 foot free fall into the nets.

Besides $35. You can do a tandom parachute jump for that much.

Ahhh the fair. I used to "work" at the fair during college. Punch in at 7, work til 9, then play a round of golf, maybe take a dip at my friends pool, see the girlfriend, then back to "work" around 6 and finish at 10. Those were the days....

I miss the Hamburg fair. Went every year with my grandparents, who are no longer with us. Some years we would go 3 or 4 times. It was great to be a kid growing up in WNY.

None of you should complain.  Your county fairs are better than our state fair.  It's absolutely stupifying.

Oh I don't know there skippy. The local one here has as there big thing "pigs racing after oreo cookies". It is the height of the fREDNECKSburg fair. They have about 6 rides 3 food stands and most of them are closed because the operator is too drunk or stoned to run it.

I lived in CT for 2 years and my friends said I had to go to the Eastern States Exposition, the state fair for all 5 NE states. I expected this large sprawling fair, but it was smaller than the Erie County Fair!

I've been here in Dreardricksburg for 19 yrs only been to the

"Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair" once and once is more than enough!

nothing like overpriced rides, a sucky midway and way overpriced and over cooked

food oh besides those wonderful wet animal smells!

Give me the Erie County Fair with the Chiavetta's BBQ Chicken, the local Polish

and Italian sasauges, the Shalen and Zweigles hot dogs and the Beef on Weck

OH HOW I MISS THAT <_<

when is the last day of the fair im heading back on Friday the 27th

First off you WNY'ers want to go to a fair? Starting the Thursday go to the Great NY State Fair in Syracuse. It's about the only thing a person from Syracuse has to be proud of!

You got them Orangemen. How many national titles in Lacrosse now?

I think the ECF and the Orange County fair (CA) keep switching places for the largest.

I know that the ECF is much larger than any in the SF bay area.
