MattyT Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 British, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.
The Dean Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Hell of a way to go out. "I'm a bit of an idiot." Classic stuff. I tell you one thing, I never look quite that good when I'm that fuc#ked up.
Lori Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Nice. There are so many people in the biz losing their jobs through no fault of their own -- including a friend of mine, yesterday -- that I have no sympathy for someone who sticks his foot that far down his throat.

Yep. That sportsjournalists.com forum has started posting a ton of stuff on career changes and wewereprint.com is doing a good job at the thankless task of updating and tracking the newspaper industry cuts. I can tell you that as a freelancer I've seen a decline in the actual physical size of the papers, which means less coverage and more freelancers duking it out for fewer assignments.
