molson_golden2002 Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 ? Dems picked up another senate seat
Steely Dan Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Dems picked up another senate seat Ahhh, the link just shows a map with no actual results for who won.
Bishop Hedd Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Might have a shot for three more. Franken is going to recount, Chambliss has less than 50 so there will be another vote, Stevens will be thrown out of the Senate.
elegantelliotoffen Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Might have a shot for three more. Franken is going to recount, Chambliss has less than 50 so there will be another vote, Stevens will be thrown out of the Senate. But Palin will pick his replacement.
murra Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Might have a shot for three more. Franken is going to recount, Chambliss has less than 50 so there will be another vote, Stevens will be thrown out of the Senate. You want Franken in? You kidding me?
Bishop Hedd Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 But Palin will pick his replacement.I heard there would be another vote with a different candidate. Then again she could just choose herself *shudder*
K-9 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 But Palin will pick his replacement. Is that the law in Alaska? In many states, yes, the governor appoints the replacement. But not in all states. Can someone find out how they do it in Alaska (pick a replacement US Senator that is).
Johnny Coli Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Might have a shot for three more. Franken is going to recount, Chambliss has less than 50 so there will be another vote, Stevens will be thrown out of the Senate. That race hasn't been called yet. There's a better than good chance that Stevens isn't going to win.
Chef Jim Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 You want Franken in? You kidding me? He's a democrat so it doesn't matter.
bills_fan Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 http://www.oregonlive.com/special/index.ss.../11/senate.html The link says Smith leads with only 54% fully reported.
ieatcrayonz Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 But Palin will pick his replacement. I have been reading this board a lot and it seems everyone thinks Palin is dumb to an almost Canadian level. If this is true, she could very well pick a democrat by accident.
YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 http://www.oregonlive.com/special/index.ss.../11/senate.html So the latest update says with 90% counted Smith is down. Don't know how accurate this is.
elegantelliotoffen Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I have been reading this board a lot and it seems everyone thinks Palin is dumb to an almost Canadian level. If this is true, she could very well pick a democrat by accident. Or a moose!
YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Or a moose! Now there is a stubborn animal whose curiosity often gets itself into trouble. Had one try and climb in my canoe one time on a lake in Maine.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 But Palin will pick his replacement. Do what Blago might do in IL... She will pick herself...
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I have been reading this board a lot and it seems everyone thinks Palin is dumb to an almost Canadian level. If this is true, she could very well pick a democrat by accident. Or like I said above... Pick herself.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Now there is a stubborn animal whose curiosity often gets itself into trouble. Had one try and climb in my canoe one time on a lake in Maine. Ya... But, moose tend to protect their offspring.
Philly McButterpants Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I heard there would be another vote with a different candidate. Then again she could just choose herself *shudder* Alaska law doen't allow her to choose herself . . . No run off . . .the Governor chooses.
