C.Biscuit97
How can you honestly look at that party in Chicago and not realize how great this is for America? People of all races, ages, and economic backgrounds coming together for a common goal of hope. It is freaking nuts there. The thing I love about America is how diverse it is. I take extreme pride at how our Olympic teams are full of many different types of people. Niot many countries can match this. I respect McCain greatly and the man did a lot for this country. But there is no way a victory by him could ever do what Obama's victory does. I think if you truly love America, pray for Obama to be a great President. This country needs it in the worse way and it could forever change this country. This almost means as much to me as the Bills winning the Super Bowl. Almost as much. What a great night. Zona
God help us all. That'll teach the Republicans for nominating a liberal to fight a liberal. That was my problem from the beginning JSP. I had no candidate to support.

Pine Barrens Mafia
Wow, you voted Libertarian. I bow to your genius. Yes, because I, unlike most of you sheeple, realize that CHANGE isn't going to come from within the two-party dictatorship.

The Dean
We finally have an intelligent person in the Oval office. I'm very excited and proud right now. I know JSP, etc will not care one lick but Obama's election will pay great dividends to America's image worldwide. PTR I'm with ya, PTR. Typically, the choice is the less of two horrible choices. I really believe that, this year, we Americans elected somebody special. A man with vision, intelligence and charisma. For those worried about the economic direction of the country under Barack and the Democrats, all I can say is: You are overreacting. With advisers like Paul Volcker, Warren Buffett and T Boone Pickens (for example) it is absurd to think that there will be a dramatic shift toward socialism, or some massive redistribution of income. Those who are currently rich and powerful are likely to remain rich and powerful...perhaps very slightly less so. Think of what is about to take place as a necessary "market correction". For those concerned that this is the beginning of a dramatic social change in this country, all I can say is: I sure hope so. This country has FAR bigger problems than who marries whom and which, if any, religion a person chooses to practice (again, for example). The positive changes that began in the 60's, and have been stunted by a group of a rabid reactionaries that were key to Republican victories over the past couple of decades. Hopefully, the Republican party will learn its lesson and rid themselves of this divisive and embarrassing faction. The US will now begin to regain its stature in the International community. Instead of being the butt of the world's joke, or the object of their scorn, I expect we will, once again, be looked on with respect by the rest of the civilized world. Barack Hussein Obama, the next president of the USA. The first President in the country's 200+ years of existence that isn't a white man. One giant mark of shame for this country, erased in a single day. I hope to see several more major milestones of progress for this country, while I am still alive. But, I have to admit, this is one I was not sure I would ever see. It is a GREAT day for the USA!
Da Big Man
Well, that's one election result I can get behind. I can't wait to watch you bitches reap what you sow. Proud of yourselves, feeling so bad to be an American that you will elect a black muslim to the formerly known as the White House. Were you all proud to watch Black Panthers bully voters in Philly? Get ready cause now affirmative action has a firm stanglehold on the U.S. ! The women named the "moocher" proudly declaring that she no longer has to worry about gas in her car or her mortgage payment. Hope you are all happy. I know now that alot of you are say " Oh God what have I done!" Congratulations on weakening our country. Now watch as these people burn this country down in celebration. Instead of Hail to Chief, just play Fifty cents "In the Club" God please forgive them they know not what they do.
