taterhill Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 KC had 8 yesterday and the Bills, and their power running game have ZERO....
EZC-Boston Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 250+ carries since their last rushing TD...we need Blaylock not Willis or Travis...
Beerball Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 We have the super secret verion of the power running game. Smash mouth football indeed. When was the last time the Bills had not scored ONE rushing TD by then end of October? We are going into November with zero rushing TDs as a team. Pitiful.
Wacka Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 You have to have an O-line that can open up a simple hole to have a rushing TD.
eSJayDee Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Look at it this way - The problem is that we only have 6 total. What is truly disgusting is that we only have 4 TDs on offense. We have 1 off an INT & another off a KO return. I think you'll find that this %age is typically disproportionately high. Now if you have 4 TDs, the split between run/pass could be either 0/4, 1/3, 2/2, 3/1, or 4/0. So roughly speaking (I don't know what the actual overall %age of TDs rushing vs pass is, offhand, I assume you throw for more than you run in), there's a 20% chance that we don't have a rushing TD. A minor statistical aberation, no biggie. The problem isn't that we can't run for a TD, it's that we can't score many TDs!
Justice Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I guess were a "finesse" team in the red zone
Cutting Drew With Dignity Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 The reason why the Bills haven't employed the naked bootleg in goal line situations eludes me.
obie_wan Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 You have to actulyy run the football to score a rushing TD. Gilbride has returned to call too many pass plays in the red zone. Drew has probably lowered his red zone rating of 50 from last year.
