Why is Ellen playing God?

Because there will be a huge controversy and tons of free publicity from the demonstrations by the religious right and gay / lesbian groups. The resulting free publicity will result in people going to see the movie, even though it will be a huge piece of crap, as most remakes are.

It's nice to see that Hollywood is remaking movies that aren't even 30 years old. Pretty soon they'll remake "The Lord of the Rings". Can't wait.

:I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Hollywood.

I guess you know that you're no good when your partner switches sides. Didn't Ellens girlfriend turn to men after that relationship.

I would think Cindy or Harriet would be just as good of a choice as Ann. Lori tends to be a little stern at times, otherwise she probably would do well.

But again, I could think of so many more choices to get butts in the seat. If they want teens, put Bloom in there.

For the older crowd, maybe Julie Andrews.

Right now I think God needs to be a "little stern" to deal with all the idiots out there.

God should give people the right to make choices but not stupid choices.

Personally I liked Morgan Freeman in Jim Carrey film "Bruce Almighty".
