Nightcrawler
Why did Buffalo lose today? It is simple. Buffalo has poor line play on both sides of the ball. A few obvious statistics should jump out to us. #1. 5-0 The number of sacks the Jets had versus the Bills entire defense. The Jets almost had 6 sacks, but this near sack led to a poor throw by Edwards under pressure. The result--92 yard interception return. #2. 1.8 & 2.1 the average yards per carry by both Lynch and Jackson. Buffalo has two talented backs, but the offensive run play ability is atrocious. The Jets knew when Buffalo was going to run. The offensive scheme is predictable on run plays, and the Bills don't have either the quality or depth to create a run game. Even worse, the run game isn't going to get any better running 16-17 run plays a game. A good running game needs 25-30 rushes. How would this problem best be solved? 1st round pick should be OC Alex Mack from California 2nd round pick should be the top DE available in the second round. It is not wasted money to get a DE if our Defensive Line can't produce regardless of numbers and salaries 3rd round pick OLB who can cover the middle of the field. Favre had lots of room there today in the middle Lastly, go after a free agent this offseason to replace and/or add depth. Trust me, Buffalo's poor line play is not going to change just with practice and conditioning. This is the achilles heal. It is for this reason that Buffalo once again goes 9-7 or 10-6 as I already predicted. Nightcrawler
