Yeah, when the Jets don't have to defend the run, they can throw a bunch of people back to cover our receivers. That's why it looked like Trent held the ball a bit too long at times. The root in this case: lack of a decent running game to offest that sort of crap.

Disagree somewhat. Jets played normal personnel vast majority of the game. If we can't pass on 4db's and 3lb's in C2 or 2MU, we can't pass in the NFL. Obviously if we were able to run the ball life would be easier, but we still should have won today. The line is not going to get any better and we CANT THROW PICKS IN THE RED ZONE. If you had to pin the loss on 1 play, it was that play and it was 100% on Edwards.

Fine, Trent though is a better QB than Losman. Not to sound like I'm a homer at all, but, Trent

has been a victim of poor play by the D and O-lines, while JP was a victim of his own poor play.

Trent is a much better QB who will only improve, while JP is an OK QB, who has only gotten worse.

You are a typical Trent HYPOCRITE. Did not JP have the SAME D & O-lines?

I really need a laugh after a second consecutive division loss. Thank you for that!

So help me out a bit, exactly how is it the O and D-lines fault that Trent held the ball out there for Porter to take away from him last week? How is the lines' fault that he threw that pick six near the goal line, as he had PLENTY of time to make the right decision there? How was it the rest of the team's fault that he took those two ridiculous sacks late in the game when he had PLENTY of time to make the right decision? It wasn't his fault he didn't throw that ball away and instead took that sack for a safety and damn near fumbled it away for a TD?

I guarantee you that had Losman taken that sack today and fumbled, you would have been bitchin' that he has no pocket presence, or that the team just knows they can blitz him because he can't handle it. But of course Trent was merely a victim.

On several occasions in this game, he had plenty of time to make throws and had people open, and threw late and cost the team a chance for a completion.

Sorry dude, but you are hilarious!

Oh, please. Trent has not proved anything yet. A handful of good games is not enough to make that judgement IMO. I'll wait until the end of the season to judge him. Even then, he needs another year for us to look at.

Football is a team game. Always was, always will be. Trent is part of the team and should take his fair share of the blame. But he shouldn't be the only one singled out. Everyone needs to stop being so over-dramatic!

It's funny that when Losman is in there it is all his fault but when Edwards plays it is a team game and the blame should be shared. Face it, Edwards has stunk up the field the last two games. Yes offensive line stuck, defense screwed up, but Edwards played like everyone says Losman plays.

I'm not a JP supporter, I'm a Bills fan. When JP had fumbles or Int's and people defended him, everyone just accused them of making excuses for their boy. Trent, has now given away two straight division games. He is doing exactly what he did last year of having a strong first few games, and then mediocre at best. I'm sorry, but Trent has not proved anything yet.

Now, I know there are some "Trent can do no wrong" fans out there. So please, defend the guy who just wasted a 4-1 start to me.

Bills from 1-3 in last 4 games. Playoffs?!?!?!

no I think turk don't know what the hells he's calling. Turning point of the game, 3rd and 1 at the jets 15 or 20 pass to end zone over thrown and miss on 4th and 1 with the run. In adiv. game you can't take these chances on 3rd and 1 just run and get that 1 yard. Now once again we are made to look fools in front of the whole country again....... maybe they should just leave Buff. it would save us disgrace........

It's the whole F*ck!ng teams fault. No pass rush, no run blocking, no pass protection, fumbles, interceptions, sloppy tackling, poor special teams play, bad coaching, and the stench of that sorry performance is still in the air.

No doubt it was 100% Edwards on that play - bottom line, bad choice. To say otherwise is blindness.

My point is that sometimes you hold the ball a bit long because there's no one to throw to. If the Jets know that they're dropping back into coverage on almost every play, you can cheat, and make the offense look more inept than they are.

Wow! I find it very interesting that all of those facets of the game were not issues when JP lost games! Yet, it is virtually the same schemes, the same or better players. Now I know none of these factors existed back a few games ago when we lost the Arizona game. In that game, it was simply JP. Of course, any poor play by those other facets of the game were simply because Trent wasn't in there inspiring them to better things.

Wonder where all that inspiration went over the last few games?

JP threw for over 289 yards all of 3 times in his miserable 4 1/2 year career. He sucks, and it really is time to get over it.

Amazing, people are still defending JP, he must have really done something for this franchise, but Trent hasn't proven any thing yet. gottcha.

I realize reading comprehension may not be your strong suit, but perhaps you ought read the thread again. No one is defending JP. Those of us invoking the name of JP are simply demanding the same accountablity of Trent as was expected of JP. All of these arguments made in defense of Trent for his horrific play the past two games were just as easily made in defense of JP, and the JP haters would have none of it. So the fact that the JP haters are running to defend Trent with the same arguments now makes me laugh my ass off.

Trent Edwards is the best QB on the Bills roster.

without a doubt...but its sad that he has been regressing...He should be improving.

As Sims made clear, that was going to be a pick regardless of Roscoe stumbling. The CB was all over that route.

You cannot say that unless Roscoe was up. It could have been pass int, it could have been a completion. Facts are it was Roscoe's fault.
