eball Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 pats w/ bledsoe -- pretty good performance, some playoff appearances (and 1 SB appearance), but can't finish the job. pats post-bledsoe -- 2 SB wins, NFL record winning streak, best team in the league. red sox w/ garciaparra -- pretty good performance, some playoff appearances, but can't finish the job. red sox post-garciaparra -- 42-18 record to finish the regular season, finally beat the yankees, now up 2-0 in the WS. the parallels are remarkable. two over-rated players whose teams became better when they left. and the teams those players went to? the bills were better for 1/2 a season and have now regressed. the cubs went into the tank and missed the playoffs. just food for thought. an odd coincidence.
