Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Just announce the damn thing so we'll know it's over. Economic shrinkage.
VABills Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Just announce the damn thing so we'll know it's over. Economic shrinkage. Need 2 quarters in a row. We actually had growth the prior 2 quarters. Noway the media announces a recession in January if the Messiah wins.
GG Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Queue, Jim Morrison: This is the end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the end...
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Need 2 quarters in a row. We actually had growth the prior 2 quarters. Noway the media announces a recession in January if the Messiah wins. My point is that when the announcement comes out it goes something like "we've been in a recession for the past 9 months." The average recession lasts just under 12 months.
Joe Miner Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Just announce the damn thing so we'll know it's over. Economic shrinkage. Do women know about shrinkage?
/dev/null Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Noway the media announces a recession in January if the Messiah wins. I beg to differ. They'll announce the recession before Obama takes office. Then when it ends they will announce Obama has rescued us from recession
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Do women know about shrinkage? Yes, and they have no idea how we walk around with those recessions. Well mine's an expansion.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Oh NO we are in a recession, Chef Jim just told us the truth
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Oh NO we are in a recession, Chef Jim just told us the truth When and how did I do that?
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Not if you're Exxon Mobil. Life is good. Why?
theesir Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Why? Exxon Mobil Posts biggest quarterly profit ever. http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081030/earns_exxon_mobil.html
stuckincincy Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Not if you're Exxon Mobil. Life is good. Life is very good for IRS receipts from taxation of oil company profits. Not so for the States. Did you miss their carping about reduced tax revenue because the American public was driving less, acting frugally, reducing their gasoline consumption?
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Exxon Mobil Posts biggest quarterly profit ever. http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/081030/earns_exxon_mobil.html 10% profit it the biggest profit ever? The media has you wrapped around their finger I see.
theesir Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 10% profit it the biggest profit ever? The media has you wrapped around their finger I see. I don't write the stories, I just link 'em
Chef Jim Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 I don't write the stories, I just link 'em Exxon Mobil Posts biggest quarterly profit ever. Did Yahoo type that for you?
theesir Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Did Yahoo type that for you? That was the headline to the link on Drudge
IDBillzFan Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Not if you're Exxon Mobil. Life is good. I hope they enjoy it. Once Obama passes his innovative "Fill Your Tires With Air" Act of 2009, Exxon will clearly have to diversify it's offerings before 2010 even gets started. Maybe they'll start selling tire pumps.
Adam Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 When and how did I do that? Dude- you're good....you did it, and did it so subconsciously that you didn't even know
