The Big Cat Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Correct, wingnuts like me and cult followers like you were not the target audience. His target audience was of course the undecided voters who proceeded to fall asleep after the first five minutes of the commercial. Like I said, a waste of an enormous amount of money. Much like what will happen to our tax dollars if he's elected. It cost him 4 million. Obama's a cult leader.

I agree it was a waste if you were looking for details however most folks dont want to see the Ross Perot like thing talking specific details, with spreadsheets showing income and spending etc.
YellowLinesandArmadillos Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Darn, I feel bad I missed it, will turn on UTUBE when I need to fall asleep, thanks for the heads up. Tis the silly season.
Wacka Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Maybe you should watch and listen with an open mind. I think I'll learn a lot more watching Time Warp.

Then to spice it up, I'd have Joe Biden outside banging on the windows screaming "Gird your loins! Gird your loins!" That was boring.

Why did you put that image in my head... as bad as the one of old people still having sex.... oh wait, na never mind

/dev/null Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I caught bits and pieces flipping thru the channels as I wasn't going to sit and watch the political equivalent of a Billy Mayes Oxyclean commercial Sound cut out for a couple seconds during one of them
elegantelliotoffen Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 It cost him 4 million. Between controlling the 24 hour news cycle and reaching undecided voters this was 4 million dollars well spent by Obama.

It was a waste of money. You don't hype something that much and deliver so little. It was 30 minutes of...hey, look at this poor guy over here...hey, look at that poor guy over there...vote for me. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Wacka Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Which he probably didn't discuss how he would handle them without bankrupting the country. I'm being psychic because it hasn't been on here.

Maybe internal polling mite show the race tightening but is it still wise to put something that calculated out there. Say what u will about McPalin campaign but at least they are entertaining in their nuttiness.

drnykterstein Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Was obviously aimed at people who live in small towns.
DC Tom Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Was obviously aimed at people who live in small towns. How so? Lots of interviews with people clinging to their guns and religion in desperation?
Kelly the Dog Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 According to his campaign. Good grief...are you so insecure about this guy that you can't deal with any little criticism of him? Oh, I see. He wanted to present more fluffy nonsense that would appeal to dim bulbs who are glued to the crap on network TV every night. Thanks for clearing that up. He gave specifics. The same ones he has been saying, There were about 20 bullet points of what he was going to do. All along I thought it was an attempt to attract the people who havent paid attention to him. That heard second hand he may be a Muslim. That heard second hand he wants to raise your taxes or is a socialist. It would have been incredibly stupid to risk putting any new policy in there or get into real specifics. You knew he wasnt going to do that, I assume you from what the teaser from his campaign was that he wasn't going to do that. The smart people that pay attention to this stuff cant understand a politicians specifics in his plan on taxes and the sort, let alone the dummies he was trying to reach.
SD Jarhead Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I'm kind a bummed. I sat there the whole time thinking I'd get an extra set of steak knives if I ordered right now. No but you might get a free* day off of work and $1500 free* from those eeevil oil companies if you vote for him... Let's see, what else have I missed?
SD Jarhead Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 BTW, I missed it also. Did he disclose how much botox was shot into Biden's cranium and how much it cost? Just curious...
