Chef Jim Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Peggy need not worry. It seems like the Obama campaign is making room for her on his campaign plane.. Support Obama or pay the wrath. Sounds like Big Brutha to me.
IDBillzFan Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Sounds like Big Brutha to me. I think the Obama campaign has gone above and beyond the call of duty in being fair to all media. Except, of course, those that don't fall lock step with them.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Yeah, destabilizing an entire country to kill one guy is definitely a no-brainer. Prepare for de-stabilization. http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/i...E49U51320081031 By Haji Mujtaba miranshah, Pakistan (Reuters) - A mid-level al Qaeda leader, identified as an Iraqi, was among up to 20 people killed Friday in a U.S. missile strike in northwest Pakistan, a Pakistani intelligence official said. The intelligence official identified the al Qaeda leader as Abu Akash. "He is a mid-level al Qaeda man who was leading a high-profile life in Mir Wali," said the official, who declined to be identified, referring to the second biggest town in the North Waziristan region on the Afghan border. Two missiles were fired by a pilotless "drone" aircraft into a house in Mir Ali, a major sanctuary for foreign Islamist militants including Arabs, and Central Asians, another intelligence official said. A witness said the house was ablaze after the strike. U.S. drones have carried out about 15 such missile attacks on militant targets in lawless ethnic Pashtun tribal lands on the Pakistani side of the border with Afghanistan since the beginning of September. U.S. forces also launched a cross-border commando raid in September. Scores of people have been killed but no senior al Qaeda or Taliban leaders have been reported to have died. The strike came two days after Pakistan summoned the U.S. ambassador to protest against missile strikes and demand that they be stopped immediately. Nuclear-armed U.S. ally Pakistan is also battling militants on its side of the border but it says cross-border U.S. strikes undermine efforts to isolate the militants and rally public opinion behind the unpopular campaign against militancy.
DC Tom Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Prepare for de-stabilization. http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/i...E49U51320081031 But that's destabilizing an entire country to kill a whole bunch of guys. That's different.
elegantelliotoffen Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 It was a waste of money. You don't hype something that much and deliver so little. It was 30 minutes of...hey, look at this poor guy over here...hey, look at that poor guy over there...vote for me. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge waste! It just gave Obama a bounce in every model of the Gallup poll going into the final weekend before election day! He is now +11 (registered), +9 (likey voters expanded), and +8 (likely voters traditional). I guess winding down your campaign with a strong closing argument is just a waste!

It is if you're already beating the competition's ass. It does, however, highlight the fundamental difference between McCain's and Obama's campaigns: the fundamental ability to express a coherent message. McCain can't do that. Obama can. Obama can do it so well, that he can wrap it in a half-hour infomercial and dazzle people...and dazzle them so effectively that no one seems to realize it's a fantastical message of "Let's all live in a magical land of Change where ponies prance through fields of lollipops under a sky filled with sunshine and rainbows!" But it is a coherent message, at least, and still puts him one up on McCain.
elegantelliotoffen Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 It is if you're already beating the competition's ass. True if it was his own money he was spending.
DC Tom Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 True if it was his own money he was spending. Funny...you'd think a guy running on a platform of "spreading the wealth" wouldn't be too worried about that, would you?

DC Tom Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I guess Obama learned from Reagan's "shining city on a hill" imagery. I thought Reagan's imagery was "It's morning in America." Of course, he was running against Carter's "Put on a sweater" imagery, so he didn't have to work very hard...

Chef Jim Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 You're just selfish: http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/20...s-new-atta.html The point is, though, that -- and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class -- it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? Everybody starts spending that money, they decide maybe I can afford a new car, maybe I can afford a computer for my child. They can buy the products and services that businesses are selling and everybody is better off. All boats rise. That’s what happened in the 1990s, that’s what we need to restore. And that’s what I’m gonna do as president of the United States of America. How the !@#$ is raising my taxes going to make a new car or computer more affordable for middle class people? And regarding the part I highlighted. No they won't be able to afford those products because they'll be more expensive because the company offered those products and services are going to have to raise prices to compensate for the higher taxes. Hook, line and !@#$ing sinker if he gets elected.
IDBillzFan Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 You're just selfish: http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/20...s-new-atta.html And everywhere I go, the number of selfish people keeps increasing. Now we're down to $120,000. But hey...it's all just a misunderstanding. If anything, I feel Peggy's pain. (Quitcher cryin', lefties, we're just having fun with the free media while it's still allowed.)

Since the tax will only be on American companies, it won't be passed on to the American consumer, who will be buying only foreign products since American production will be driven out of business by the higher taxes. And I want to know when socialism became "From each according to his ability, to each according to his wants and desires."
Passepartout Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Well, 33.5M cared to watch it. He spent about $3M on this. Thought he would spend a lot more.

DC Tom Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Camelot? Very infrequently. In fact, I've never cammed. Thank you, I'll be here all weekend. Try the veal.

Chef Jim Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Camelot? Cameltoe? I like cameltoe......wait, what.
